We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and it was ideal for our needs. Rooftop pool with bar that would bring drinks and food to you, and we found it great as a couple as kids were not allowed in the rooftop for safety reasons, hence why we didn’t go to the garden or indoor pool but it was a great option for families. Breakfast was very good and the items kept rotating daily for cakes and sweets so you had different options. The room was nice and freshly made daily, we also had a little balcony which did not have an ashtray and my partner is a smoker so he was a bit annoyed for that. Front desk staff was kind and welcoming and helped us with any questions. The spa was great too. I went there twice for a facial and a back, shoulder and neck massage. They go through everything with you. Room service was also quick and efficient. The only problem I experienced was I had to call them 3 times to pickup the tray and they never came so we left the tray in front of our door as we didn’t want it to sit in our room for the night. The room had buttons on the side for service or do not disturb. We found them to be a bit useless as the HSK staff would knock even with the button on but when we put the do not disturb sign physically on the door they didn’t knock. At check in you get a booklet with tours sold by an agency next door which was a convenient spot. The restaurant gives a 10% discount to residents so that was a nice touch. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from a wonderful 12 night holiday at the Maritim Antonine Hotel. We loved everything about this hotel. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and go out of their way to look after you. The food in the restaurants is excellent. The breakfast choices are superb. The rooftop pool and bar are lovely. It is adult only and has luxurious loungers and umbrellas. The hotel is surrounded by lovely restaurants and there is a bus stop right outside with buses every few minutes to travel anywhere on the island. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked to return again next year. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our holiday so enjoyable.

This was our first time in Malta and this hotel was perfect for our needs! The rooms were spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the garden pool, everyday we found a sun lounger to use, the rooftop pool was usually much busier! Reception staff are lovely, luggage storage was perfect, huge breakfast spread which filled us up well. It’s in a lovely reasonably quiet area, with a few food shops and souvenir shops around. The pools were clean and the restaurant downstairs was nice, we only ate there once but you get 10% discount if you stay at the hotel, which is great. The bus stops outside the hotel were also ideal for travelling to the port, beach and Valletta. We will be coming back!

Pros:
The hotel is in a fantastic location with easy access to public transport. Rooms are clean, and the 16+ rooftop pool offers a peaceful environment. Rooftop staff were friendly and attentive. The steam room and sauna at the spa were relaxing and well-maintained.
Cons:
Some reception staff would benefit from being more approachable, as interactions came across as abrupt or unfriendly. I noticed another reviewer raised a similar concern, and while it was suggested that this might be due to the team’s diverse cultural backgrounds, in my view this should not affect the standard of guest service. Regardless of background, staff should be aware of their clientele and know how to interact with them. Note that this is not targeted to all reception staff as some were extremely welcoming and helpful!
The massage did not reflect the price charged. The room was uncomfortably cool due to the air conditioning and lacked the calming atmosphere typically expected in a spa, such as aromatherapy or a more soothing ambiance. For a 75-minute full-body session, the technique felt somewhat repetitive and uneven, with some areas rushed or missed. I’ve had far better experiences at a much lower cost elsewhere in Europe.

Great view and perfect location to town to catch ferry.
Room ac did not work and was told that is as cool as it gets. So room was 77 F the entire time. Apparently you get one water two decaf instant and two instant coffee per stay. Asked for more at front desk and they told me I needed to go to one of the restaurants to get more water. Never been to an hotel that did not have water behind the counter that they could have charged my room for.
Nice room, nice location, great views. Staff can step up the service a bit
