We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and it was ideal for our needs. Rooftop pool with bar that would bring drinks and food to you, and we found it great as a couple as kids were not allowed in the rooftop for safety reasons, hence why we didn’t go to the garden or indoor pool but it was a great option for families. Breakfast was very good and the items kept rotating daily for cakes and sweets so you had different options. The room was nice and freshly made daily, we also had a little balcony which did not have an ashtray and my partner is a smoker so he was a bit annoyed for that. Front desk staff was kind and welcoming and helped us with any questions. The spa was great too. I went there twice for a facial and a back, shoulder and neck massage. They go through everything with you. Room service was also quick and efficient. The only problem I experienced was I had to call them 3 times to pickup the tray and they never came so we left the tray in front of our door as we didn’t want it to sit in our room for the night. The room had buttons on the side for service or do not disturb. We found them to be a bit useless as the HSK staff would knock even with the button on but when we put the do not disturb sign physically on the door they didn’t knock. At check in you get a booklet with tours sold by an agency next door which was a convenient spot. The restaurant gives a 10% discount to residents so that was a nice touch. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

We have now returned to a very cold England, had a wonderful week at hotel with many thanks to Libby the guest relationship manager for ensuring that we had an accessible shower/bath in the room as my wife has trouble accessing some of the showers. Libby ensured that we had a room in the Annexe so that the entrance was step free adjacent to Coffee shop. We couldn't fault the room for facilities and cleansingness, which was kept up by the cleaning staff.
The hotel is very accessible as it is on the main route to the Gozo ferry with all the ferry buses passing close by.
We havbeen coming to Malta for many years & prefer to stay at the Maritim, we hope to be coming for a few more years as we enjoy the setting.

Let’s start with the positives, the rooms are well sized with good aircon, breakfast is plentiful and decent (ours was included but didn’t seem particularly expensive if you’re paying). The hotel is also very close to a few very good restaurants, just down the road. The beach is a good walk, or a few euro taxi away. If you’re just using this as a place to sleep and eat, all good there.
There’s good bus routes available from just outside the hotel if you’re using public transport.
However, I can’t particularly recommend this hotel if you’re travelling as a family with u16s and want to use the amenities. The roof pool & loungers which get sun all day are completely blocked for any u16s. You may think, well - there are two other pool areas, right? Well, in October the outdoor pool only gets a couple of hours of direct sunshine per day, during mid-afternoon. There’s a big building beside the pool which is entirely cropped out of all publicity photos, which means the pool is very cold and it still feels cold when you get out if not in the short sun window. The indoor pool only has a small number of loungers (10) around the small pool, and to top things off was often having the floor scrubbed with chemicals during the morning, which can make it much less a pleasant place to be. Some thought would have at least put this at the time when outside was usable, if not when the indoor pool is closed.
Because of the local landscaping, we also suffered a number of mosquito bites when trying to make use of the outdoor pool areas.
Also be aware that this hotel has expanded to also use the building over the road. This means you may well end up with a room that has no view of the church etc. The hotel does helpfully have an indoor way of crossing between the two, but does involve a lift down from reception, then passing through the tunnel before getting a lift back up the other side.
our balcony was barely big enough to get around the two chairs and bistro set, definitely couldn’t get a child also seated on the balcony even though the room is setup for 2+2.
We also suffered some early morning noise in our room from adjacent building work hammering on the walls.

Short bus ride to local beach. On bus routes to many destinations which is great. Near Old town which is also preferable to mega resort type of places. Breakfast choice good. Would go out for dinner if you can at least a couple of times as evening menu a bit hit and miss but service always good and prompt attention to any issues. Rooms vary a lot so be specific with what you need or like.

We had a fantastic experience at the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms were clean and cozy, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff was exceptionally kind and always available to help with anything we needed.
The location is great, with plenty of restaurants nearby and convenient bus stops within walking distance. We also rented a car from the office just across the road, which was super convenient for exploring the island.
One of the highlights was the adults-only rooftop pool and the pool bar, perfect for unwinding in peace. We also loved dining at the terrace restaurant, which offers a magnificent panoramic view, especially at sunset. The Asian fusion food was delicious and made the experience even more memorable.
