We booked this Hotel originally for its proximity to the Town and Beach, outside of the main resort for peace and quiet yet only 10 mins walk to the Town. It had its own little private Beach. Sunbeds were plentiful both poolside and at the Beach and free to Hotel guests. Meals and drinks were very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Breakfast was continental and plentiful with a relaxed policy on times, (you didn't feel rushed if you came along late) and you always had a cheery good Morning from Renata. Meals were cooked by Georgios who would accommodate you with items that did not appear on the menu. The BBQ night was great value for money with plenty of food being provided to your table.
Nico, managed the bookings and Hotel and was very accommodating and helpful. Staff were all very pleasant and friendly and created a very enjoyable atmosphere. Nationalities included, Danes,Germans,Italians,Irish and UK guests, and there was a very friendly atmosphere around the Hotel. I had read some negative reviews but can only say that our experience and that of the people I spoke to at the Hotel was nothing but positive. We are frequent travellers and normally opt for fully inclusive. However we had one week in Turkey fully inclusive and then travelled on to this Hotel with the intention of travelling around and eating out at different restaurants we found everything so good at Mammis that we decided to eat here everyday and Night. We are already planning our return visit for June 24. Keep up the Great work Mammis Beach. Derek and Michelle Room Number 1.

At first you get a very good feeling that your stay will be perfect. It soon becomes clear to you that the owner George's greeting is just a backdrop, while the wife Renata's greeting is really sincere and warm. Renata is Austrian and feels that she has a sense for tourism. The harshness of Geroge's attitudes towards staff outside the family soon becomes apparent, and one gets the feeling that his wife is also afraid of him. You really don't go that far on vacation to discover the relationships between the owner and the staff, but they are visible from afar. And if you have at least some humanity in you, you notice it and it must bother you. Geogre is constantly parading around his kingdom watching anyone do anything wrong that doesn't fit into his mindset. At times it seems to you that the man is not the manager of a hotel, but of some kind of camp. The very first morning he splashed water on the tiles directly in front of our room as we were leaving it. He couldn't stop for a moment, so the dirty water from the floor splashed on us too. Very reckless behavior.
The swimming pool looks nice and maintained, but with strict rules. Swimming before 9 am and after 7 pm is prohibited. You are also not allowed to drink your drink or eat your snack by the pool. The guy from the outside staff is very friendly and helpful, but the owner imagines that he has him in a slave-owning relationship. This is visible in every communication with him. The same guy, following the owner's instructions, literally kicks the guests out of the pool area, as he has to set up sunbeds an hour before the pool closes. Even those in the immediate vicinity of the guests who are still by the pool. The same guy throws some kind of chemicals into the pool from the edge of the pool, which often gets blown around by the wind. Even if the guests are still on the deckchairs by the pool. Then he continues serving food and drinks in the same clothes, and when the owner has a new whim, the same guy jumps to his knees outside the bar and washes a stain on the curb that annoys the owner.
WIFI in room is non-existent.
I probably wouldn't have written an opinion, because it's right that each guest gets his own experience. I was encouraged to do so by the very rude, insulting and humiliating attitude of the owner on the last day. When leaving for breakfast, it happened that the room key came out of the lock in the wrong position when closing the door. The key didn't go in or out of the lock. I myself went to the bar at breakfast to tell owner about the problem. George, however, immediately attacked me with a raised voice accusing me that I break the lock. He didn't even ask what exactly was wrong, he attacked without questions or looking at the lock. He did this so loudly that all the guests who were having breakfast at that time looked towards us. Of course, his attitude like a Gestapo guard did not stop. He started shaming me in front of the other guests and my partner to be so manly and admit that I broke the lock. At this point even I couldn't be polite anymore and told him I smashed the lock with a hammer. After a while, he reached the room and looked at the situation, which in the end he was also surprised by. But he was not man enough to apologize for his humiliation, insults and rudeness. I've been to all continents, but I've never experienced such an attitude by any host anywhere. Fortunately, my partner and I stayed very little time in the hotel during our one week stay and luckily got to know the very hospitable, friendly and fun side of the island of Kos, which we experienced at every step as we cruised around the island.
At this point, I apologize to Renate, because I perceived her as a very sincere and hospitable woman and she does not deserve such criticism. The same applies to the rest of the staff. Unfortunately, they are all prisoners of an overbearing and arrogant owner.

Stayed here a long time ago, visited each time we are on Kos island and George is always welcoming. The location is far from Kardamaina, however since we stayed a long while back we noticed bike, car, quad and scooter rentals a short walk away.
Highly recommend getting around on a bicycle, cheap to rent and lovely way to travel
Pool is crystal clear, a massive bonus!

I really was amazed by the hosts kindness. Even when our cab cancelled last minute our trip back to airport they managed to find a way to get us there (despite the only cab company being busy and not accepting request with less than 2 hours prior). Also because of the late flight they managed to switch our dinner that we missed and were very kind and understanding throughout our stay. I highly recommend the location for being very quiet, a place where you can trully relax, that we will happily return too.
The dinner was lovely although you coulndt choose still every dinner was delicious.Breakfast a bit repetitive but you had everything you could desire.
The wiffi may not be the best but we managed to get work done therefore i highly recommend this place.

I guess you get what you pay for. I do not mind that rooms are dirty and are not cleaned one time during the whole stay (they only take out the rubbish bags and change towels). I do not mind poor breakfast with over cooked bacon that tastes like card board, and powdered orange juice. I do not mind that you have to pay extra for parking space and sun beds and some local tax thing also which is never mentioned on booking. The biggest problem is the owners attitude. The owner is a bitter old man who goes around being bitter and trying to rip you off and shouting at chamber maid. His spouse is trying to be nice but you can tell she is also fed up with everything. Authentic hospitality is something you cannot fake and these guys have none of that and that makes you feel really unwelcomed. I think they should sell the place. This is the only chance for it to become a better hotel. Even other locals say the owners are difficult. After a couple days there you understand why. I feel sorry for everyone in this place.
