The reception area was impressive on arrival but the rooms lacked some TLC. We had a light on the wall that would not turn off, no visible or obvious switch, no help from the cleaner or the maintenance guy so we just ended up unscrewing the bulb!! On the plus side the room was clean. Plenty of hot water too. The dining room was dismal and dark, no outside windows! Food choice was pretty good for the breakfast. The pool side bar was not open so you had to go into the reception bar for food and drinks and bring them back to the pool. No life guard. Pool and area was clean though. Overall location not bad either. Doubt we would return though.

I had a really beautiful stay at this hotel. The staff on reception, Jean was so helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Close to all amenities. Late check out was arranged as I had a late flight. Thank you to all the staff.

5/5 Excellent
The property has sign of visible wear and tear old, but in good condition. Doug and Jao assisted me all the time and answer my questions about place. By the way, also I picked this place for the wash and dry availability in the premise. I was able to take care of my laundry in between naps.
AMENITIES: 5/5
Yes, ill come back to this place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – A Well-Deserved Break at Luna Hotel da Oura
I recently stayed at Luna Hotel da Oura with some good friends, and it was exactly the break we all needed – and at a fantastic value for money. Our two-floor apartment was a total win – spacious, comfortable, and with not just one but two balconies. The view from the top floor was incredible, stretching across the town and right down to the sea. Perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink while soaking up the sunset.
The layout was ideal for socializing too – plenty of space for when friends from the other rooms wanted to pop by for a drink and a game of cards before heading out for the evening. It was the perfect spot to unwind and catch up in style without feeling crammed in.
The rooms themselves were well-appointed, with comfortable beds and blackout curtains that made it easy to catch up on some much-needed rest. The pool area was another highlight – plenty of loungers, a nice little bar serving cold drinks, and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to forget about the outside world.
Location-wise, it’s close enough to the lively strip if you want a taste of the nightlife, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We dipped into the buzz of the bars a couple of nights but were always happy to return to our spacious, comfy base with that stunning sea view.
For what we paid, it felt like a steal – great facilities, loads of space, and a brilliant location. Would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-priced break in Albufeira.

We were booked into the hotel Luna Sol Aqua which wasn’t open so we were moved to this hotel.
The staff were pleasant on arrival and as requested were given an apartment with a double bed at the front of the hotel which got lots of afternoon sun on our balcony. The room was spacious and clean but tired and in need of an update. The indoor pool was dark and depressing. It was very damp and the walls and ceiling were dripping wet and very unpleasant to be in. Yes you do need to wear a swimming hat!!!
The outdoor pool at the back of the hotel was just a rectangular shape and totally uninspiring with very little sunshine ☀️The bar opened 10am til 6pm so you cannot get a drink outside of these hours. The pub and restaurant was closed.
The hotel is on a busy road on a large roundabout and is 10 minutes walk to the strip and 30 minutes to the old town and as the area is hilly it certainly kept us fit 🤣🤣 Taxis to the old town approx 5 euros.
There is a supermarket across the road and bus stops, and a lovely bakery 2 minutes down the hill. Uzonj and Memorias restaurants are well worth a visit both 5 minutes walk.
Would we return? No definitely not!
