This review is from August 2025.
My 2 friends and I booked this hotel for a girls holiday. The location to the new town strip was a 5 minute walk and was very good, and a 4 euro uber to the old town was also brilliant.
However the hotel, as we checked in we found the receptionist rather rude and just seemed as if she didn’t want to be there, as you usually would when checking into hotels you do ask a couple questions our questions asked was answered by one word answers or a grunt. We then found out we had to pay one hundred euros pp for a deposit.
We arrived at the hotel around 11am-12pm and had to wait until 4pm to check into our rooms, we were allowed to keep our bags in a room until then which was fine.
Every day cleaners would come into our rooms and clean the room, fresh bedding and towels, which we were throughly impressed by and was probably the best part about the hotel. The room itself was fine we had a double bed and a pull out sofa which done us fine, our balcony was spacious and the bathroom was good (however the shower wasn’t very powerful and tended to flood the bathroom). Our balcony looked out onto the other hotel which was nice at night time as it got quite lively.
The security man was nice for the first few nights. On our first night he made sure to tell us to be careful of the new town strip and to stay together which we thought was very nice. Until we received a “noise complaint”, security banged on our door at 5am making more noise than anyone in the room (there was 7 people in the room) and telling us we were making too much noise however we were sitting in our room talking to one another with both doors shut over. We were given one chance at our £300 deposit, so i’d reccommend if staying here for a party holiday be very aware that the hotel security doesn’t take the piss.
The pool area was good, however the bar was basic food and over priced drinks, for what you pay for you’d be better walking down the new town strip to a bar where you’d get better food and drinks for half the price.
Over all, i wouldn’t reccommend for a family holiday just be aware alot of groups for party holidays stay here and if your looking for somewhere quiet this probably isn’t the place for you as the music is loud at night and majority get back from the strip around 3-6ish am. For a party holiday id defo reccomend but just be wary of security and the “noise” you make.

The cleaners stole my brand new earring. The manager of the hotel is the worst, was not helpful at all. Rude to her staff. She didn’t deserve staff like that. The man that checked me in was amazing and the woman who worked in the evening with braid amazing too. I had to call the police because the manager is trying to make it out I am lying and her cleaners wouldn’t do that. She has no respect to her staff. All the other staff was nice. I travelled alone and I was not drunk on any day. I travelled between 9th-13th I was staying until 15th but didn’t want to expend I was scared. The key card is cheap and broke in my door but the gentleman was amazing and helped me thank you

Overall Albufeira is amazing. However hotel was absolutely horrible. The staff were SO RUDE! (bar the lovely cleaning lady). Receptionists were by far the worst staff members we came across. They stand in there office behind when you go to the front desk to ask for something.
Also rooms are FULL of ants!
No bar or pool bar open the whole trip.
Told us we could check in and then went into his office came back out and told us we couldn’t and asked for a €300 deposit(in cash).
DO NOT STAY HERE.

Staff are absolutely the worst bunch of staff I’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering, the old woman and the man on the desk have absolutely no manners. You ring the bell and they stand in the room looking at you. €300 CASH deposit taken before you can even bless yourself. They need to learn a
Thing about customer service or go get a new job.Ants all over the room.

This place is a SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
We just returned from a stay here last week (August 2025) and all I can say is you can expect the experience of a hostel at the price of a 5 star hotel. Upon checkin, we were informed we owed a €300 deposit, something we were not notified of prior to our arrival, beyond this the check in staff seemed genuinely angered by our arrival and acted as though checking us in was a huge favour from them. The staff were amazed we didn’t know about the deposit and blamed us however after talking to other guests they too were blindsided. They hold this €300 over your head your entire trip, with a singular stained towel costing €40 of your deposit(we only had one towel for the week). On another occasion we were told we had lost our entire deposit because we had entered the indoor pool without a hairnet despite their being no one at the ‘spas’ reception and only one small sign at the entrance.
The rooms took you back in time to the 1970s and not in a good way. Our fridge was broken, their was only 2 plugs in the entire room, the air con didn’t work and it took 2 days for a repair man to fix our lights (meaning we were in complete darkness), TWO DAYS IN A 4 STAR HOTEL? The rooms were not cleaned the whole week except for our bins being emptied, the floor wasn’t even brushed and beds were not made.
Probably the most disappointing thing was the pool, if you’re expecting anything like the photos think again! It is tiny, overpacked, and the water resembles milk! We went one morning and didn’t return our whole trip….
The single redeeming factor to this place is the location, right between New town and Old town.
Go somewhere else, I promise you it is not worth your time, your money or your patience.
