I really enjoyed my stay at Lemon & Soul Makadi Garden. It is a simple and budget-friendly hotel, but it feels much better than expected for a 3-star property. The staff are very friendly and clearly try to make guests comfortable. Reception was always helpful, including with exchanging money, and I appreciated the small safety details when leaving by taxi. The food is simple but good, and the chefs try to offer some variety.
The only thing to keep in mind is the location. If you plan to go to Hurghada on your own, taxi prices from the hotel can be quite high, and some drivers try to insist on a round trip. Going from Hurghada back to the hotel can be much cheaper than leaving the hotel for Hurghada. This is not the hotel’s fault, but it is useful to know in advance.
Overall, the hotel may be a little worn in some places, but it never felt unpleasant or disappointing. For me, this is one of the best value-for-money hotels in the area. Highly recommended for travelers who understand the budget category but still want a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We stayed 3 nights and we're pleasantly surprised for the level of service and hotel overall, considering it's a 3-star hotel! Great value for money paid! Highly recommend! Nice pools, good food (not that much variety, but quite tasty and no upset stomach), decent entertainment, excellent service from the staff and great pleasant guests! Great atmosphere, we really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely would recommend it! The foods are delicious and different every day and the quality also great! The room is quite good, and for sure the service is amazing! What i really appreciate is they always there to help without me asking for the help, and they remember the guests special needs. The access to the beach also very convenient. Basically overall positive experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations.
The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and it truly felt like a place where you can relax and feel at home.
The restaurant deserves special praise — the food was delicious, fresh, and varied, with something for everyone. Every meal was a pleasure, and the quality and presentation were outstanding.

Food + staff good, cleanliness + rooms poor!
We found the food to be surprisingly good, exceeding our expectations. There was plenty of variety, everything was warm, and every day there was fresh food from the BBQ, omelets in the morning, and pizzas from the food truck on the beach. The staff is generally friendly and helpful.
The beach feels a bit dull and bare, especially compared to the more spacious and well-designed beaches of nearby resorts.
The maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms were very disappointing. There was dust everywhere, and splashes/stains on the walls, curtains, doors, and beds—almost as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. We ended up cleaning and mopping ourselves with a towel.
There were also crooked lamps, a broken showerhead, and an air conditioner that made an incredible amount of noise. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed as well (there’s only a door separating them).
It’s a real shame, because with a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance, this could be a pleasant and affordable hotel. Next time, we will choose a different hotel.
