Hotel Labranda Mares Marmaris is a large resort that feels clean and well-kept. The food can be a bit repetitive, but there is always something to choose from – the absolute highlight was the carrot-walnut cake and muffins.
We stayed in a ground-floor bungalow in the first row with a stunning sea view – definitely the best choice of accommodation. Room cleaning could be improved (for the first two days there was a dead cockroach under the sink, and the minibar was only refilled the day before departure), but drinks are available everywhere, so it didn’t really bother us. At the lobby bar you can always pick up unlimited bottled water (300 ml).
I missed proper espresso coffee – only Turkish coffee and machine coffee were available, though iced coffee was a nice bonus. Ice cream is served by the pool until 4 p.m. and also during lunch and dinner. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., snacks (a light lunch) are available at two locations.
The beach itself is nice, but there is a huge issue with sunbeds – by 7 a.m. they are all reserved with towels.
Reception staff were always kind and helpful, but at the lobby and beach bar, a few more smiles would have been nice. The restaurant staff tried their best, though compared to Egypt I am used to a warmer and more cheerful service. Garden maintenance could also be better – greenery around the rooms and along the path to the sea would look so much nicer with more care.
The real star of the hotel is without a doubt security dog Mares – he wins every guest’s heart. 🐶
Overall, I rate the stay positively and recommend it especially for the bungalows with sea view, the spacious resort, and the pleasant atmosphere.

The view is beautiful and the location is great. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. The lifeguards are attentive and ensure beach safety. Unfortunately, some people break the pool rules, but the lifeguards are vigilant. More thorough cleaning of the common areas would be helpful. The hotel needs renovations. However, the food selection is limited, as it's almost the same every day. Everything seems to have been reheated hundreds of times, so it's not very fresh. Overall, it's not the best value for money.

We have just checked into this hotel and unfortunately we are very disappointed. We received a room without a balcony even though we paid for a standard one, and a miserable apartment. The sewage smell is unbearable, and the conditions are no more than 2 stars! They also charged us an extra €35 per night for our dog, even though this is not specified on the website. I have stayed at over 30 hotels in Turkey, but this one is by far the most disappointing! Be careful to avoid this resort!

Amazing place to spend time with your family. Hotel has one of the best views, kitchen and very helpful staff. I have stayed at a bungalow with a sea view. It’s amazing to look out from the window and see the beauty of the nature.

Horrible food, cleaners don’t even bother to remove the dirty cups or empty the ashtray, the rooms are filthy and the hotel is outdated. Not much of the entertainment, the team is not attentive.
Some grumpy stuff refuse to make me iced coffee because “he would need 5 ice cubes and they use 2 for drinks”- beach bar, I think his name was Sinaid. Reception, Okey at the pool bar, the snack bar and the main bar staff were nice and helpful.
It’s unacceptable to call this place a 5 star hotel. Maximum 3. The only plus was the location.
