We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the Kefalonia Bay Hotel. They had a great system & even at the end of the season, there was so much attention to detail. Everyone will wake up to amazing sea views. A special appreciation to Maria on reception, who went the extra mile. Lovely & clean too.

I honestly don’t see how this is a 4-star hotel. The constant sewage smell ruins everything – you can’t enjoy the view or sleep with windows open. The room had ants everywhere, even in the bed, and cleaning was sloppy (the same black hair stayed in my bathroom all week). The hotel is extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. Breakfast is below average, parking is up a very steep hill, and while the staff is polite, it doesn’t make up for the rest. I really don’t get all the good reviews – this place was totally not worth the money.

Do not waste your money, this is far from a 4 star hotel. Its outdated (you can clearly see the property is in need of renovations). There is an issue with odor, everytime you open the window or want to sit on the terrace you smell septic waste. There were ants all over our room so we asked the staff to switch rooms (which they kindly did), but the problem was the same in the other room, I have pictures of ants on the bed, on the floor, in the bathroom. The road to the hotel is very steep, might be a problem for someone. Otherwise the staff is friendly but it looks like they work for 16 hours per day. The breafast choice is solid, they provide sun umbrellas at the reception. But really its just not worth your money, I was really dissapointed.

We loved our stay! The views were spectacular from our room on the fourth floor. Be aware that the hotel is located on a hill, there is an elevator, but it does not go down to the pool level and there are two more flights of stairs to get down. The breakfast was excellent with numerous choices. The rooms are adequate and are cleaned daily. We loved walking into town every evening to try the numerous restaurants. The walk into town is manageable, but was a struggle for my dad who is in his eighties. We rented a car and had to park in the 4th level which is an extremely steep hill which may intimidate novice drivers. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, but that’s where the positives end. The hotel is dated and swarming with wasps, but the worst part was the state of the bathroom – absolutely filthy. Black sludge came out of the jacuzzi bath, making it completely unusable. When I complained, the staff were incredibly rude and even told me I shouldn’t have used the bath! We were offered a different room at 9pm – not helpful when my kids were already asleep and we were due to check out the next day. Overall, an unpleasant experience made worse by the staff’s attitude. Would not return and would not recommend.
