Just spent 2 weeks here and I can honestly say it is a great hotel. From check in to departure every staff member was friendly, courteous and professional. The room was great, huge bed and lovely bathroom with a large shower. It was cleaned every day and plenty of bed changes. Pool towels were easily changed each day. If you miss the 5.30 change with the maid, just mention to reception and by the time we came back from dinner clean ones were there. We did not use the pool much as I prefer the beach but they were set in lovely gardens and never seemed that busy. There was also a roof top pool. The beach was about a 10 minute easy walk away . The location is great. Very central and lots of restaurants around. It is currently having some renovation work done but that was not an inconvenience. Breakfast was good, plentyful and lots of choice. There was nothing I could complain about and would definitely return.

Quiet, green hotel with pools both in the garden and up on the roof. Perfect for adults just wanting to rest, no loud partying til the morning. Beach, shops and restaurants within a walking distance. Taxis right outside the hotel and an affordable bus around the corner to take you to the city. The staff was so kind and helpful. Could not recommend more!

The Kata Palm Resort Phuket was a wonderful place to stay — the hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were absolutely amazing throughout our visit. It’s just a short walk to the beach, with plenty of great food options nearby and within the resort. The pool area was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing and the trees make it feel like a tropical paradise!

Warning: very negative experience at this hotel.
We arrived around midnight after a long flight from France. At the reception desk, we presented our AGODA booking confirmation. The receptionist then told us that the hotel did not work with AGODA and that we needed to pay for the room on the spot — at a price twice as high as what we had already paid through the platform. She added that we would have to “deal with AGODA” afterwards to get a refund.
Exhausted, we couldn't reach AGODA immediately. But I noticed that the receptionist had a printed copy of my AGODA reservation on her desk, even though she had just claimed she had never received it. This was a huge red flag for us.
When I finally managed to speak with AGODA, they advised us not to pay anything again, as the reservation was fully confirmed and paid for. Since the hotel refused to let us in without an additional payment, we ended up outside at 2 a.m.. As AGODA couldn’t find us alternative accommodation in time, we had to look for another hotel ourselves and finally found one around 4 a.m.
As we were leaving, the receptionist tried to snatch from my hands the printed reservation that I had picked up from her desk, and she insisted that I couldn’t leave with this document — even though it clearly proved that the hotel had indeed received my booking. I recorded the entire scene.
I am now waiting for AGODA to provide a solution to this situation.
I strongly advise against this hotel: the handling of our reservation was completely unacceptable.
I would also like to mention that I recorded the scene to keep evidence of what happened. I will make the video available if necessary, but I will not publish it here out of respect for privacy.

Best things about this hotel are the staff service, the jungle and rooftop pools, and the breakfast buffet. Room was just okay -- the photos make it seem bigger. Do not be deceived, it does NOT have beach access. Beach is a few blocks away (not across from the hotel, as that's the Club Med), and you must bring your own towels and rent lounge chairs (200BHT for two).
