Moroccan people will make your visit a 4 star minimum without doing anything anyway... so staying at this medium sized hotel has to score 5 stars.
##All staff## From Cleaners - Restaurant-Bar- Reception- Security to the hotel cat 🐈 are so so friendly and welcoming 🙏 it's hard not to think - 'I'm gonna return here' so I will plan to do exactly that.
The breakfast was pretty good and I had lunch type Hot food with vegetables etc most mornings.
The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, smelt of cleaning and fresh throughout.
Bar pool areas were well organised and staff well drilled, Nothing is too much, Credit to management as the guest culture is instilled end to end.
The location allows for long coastal path walking to built up and Marina area 30-40mins and even to the cable car for Kashbah if feeling energetic enough.
We also ventured by foot to Founty centre 15-20 min walk where most were Moroccan residents and tourists, all speak English and again all were so welcoming. Food generally is helathy, savoury and adventurous.
Go to Souk El Had in centre area to experience the real time Moroccan hustle, also try Berber Atisan Souk where its a bit quieter and sells all leather and many take home gift type goods.
Alcohol snacks etc are available in supermarkets 15-20 min walk or passport approved drink stores (10 min walk)
Agadir is well underway for transition for tourism and is being developed rapidly for World Cup 2030 its good to see.
As an alternative to Spain / Canaries it is well on the radar.

A Mixed Bag – Immaculate Hotel With a Couple of Key Drawbacks
I recently stayed at Timoulay and have a mixed review - I would rate 3.5 stars if possible.
On the positive side, the hotel itself is spotless. The whole hotel and our room was impeccably clean, and housekeeping clearly takes great pride in their work.
I can’t say enough good things about all of the staff – everyone from the front desk to the breakfast servers were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
However, there are a couple of important issues worth noting. The hotel is located directly across from a hotel with a rooftop bar that plays very loud music until around 1:30am every night. If you’re a light sleeper or hoping for a peaceful evening, this would be a serious drawback as the noise was impossible to ignore, especially when the DJ is shouting over the music. This led to us feeling increasingly tired as the week went on.
Additionally, on arrival the staff member at the desk informed us that there would be a rep meeting us the next morning to go through local excursions. Unfortunately the rep gave us misleading information about the sunset camel ride/BBQ that we booked. The description didn’t match the reality – for instance, the ride itself is taken along a dirt track through what can only be described as an area of wasteland, up to a river before looping back. It was not at sunset and there was no BBQ, we were seated in a tent full of flies and served a tagine. It felt like the goal was more to make a sale than to provide honest guidance. We had also booked the Fantasia show through the rep and this was a much better experience, it was as described and the rep let them know about my dietary requirement so that a separate tagine was prepared for me.
Overall, the hotel and staff delivered on comfort, cleanliness, and customer service – but the nightly noise and the misleading excursion info from the hotel-recommended rep did take away from our experience.

This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel. It’s such a Lovely small hotel, the best staff who go out of their way to help, and the spa was also wonderful, we had massages, pedicures and facials and the ladies were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with great service and fabulous food and guaranteed cleanliness throughout the hotel we highly recommend staying. The beach and restaurants are about 10 min walk away.

Very friendly staff who were always there to help. The hotel is in a quiet area, near the beach and restaurants. The rooms, pool and restaurant were spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and tastefully furnished. Would happily come back

Quick summary (with full review below):
Great hotel! Very clean, welcoming staff, beautiful pool view, and top-tier housekeeping. WiFi is weak, and noise travels through walls. Breakfast is decent, but repetitive. Short walk to the beach, lots of food options nearby (10-20mins walk).
Overall: 9/10 for the hotel, 6.5/10 for the food.

Hotel & Check-In:
Stayed 7 nights. The transfer from the airport took around 30 minutes. Security was lovely, really helpful with unloading our bags and getting us settled at reception. First impressions were great. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and overall the staff are friendly. There can be a bit of a language barrier, but they do their best to understand and help.
The pool area is spotless, checked every morning, and the view from the rooms overlooking the pool is especially beautiful at night.
Rooms:
Our room was spacious with a queen-size bed, wardrobes, a safe, bedside tables, and a generous bathroom with a large shower. The only downsides: there was a slight smell from the shower in the mornings, and the WiFi wasn’t great. We had to sit on the balcony or head to reception to get a decent signal, though breakfast time seemed to bring the best connection.
One thing to note: the soundproofing isn’t great. You can hear chairs scraping and doors slamming when other guests come and go. It can be annoying but you do get used to it after a while.
Housekeeping:
Top notch service. They’re very efficient and kind. Even if you don’t want your room cleaned, they’ll give a gentle knock just to be sure and check you off their list.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was nice at first with fresh orange juice and Moroccan tea were highlights, but it did get a bit repetitive. They rotate some of the pastries and dishes, but salt and pepper definitely helps. We chose breakfast only so we could try local spots for lunch/dinner, which was a great decision.
Location/ Nearby:
The beach is a short 5-10 minute walk away.
There’s a rooftop bar that’s lively, especially during football matches, just a heads-up that it gets crowded and noisy late into the evening/ early morning.
There are some great nearby restaurants within a 15- 20 minute walk or a quick 3-minute taxi ride.
We tried:
Oh My Bun - Great burgers, chips were just okay.
Mister Cook - Affordable and decent.
Sama Loubnan- Food was alright but lacked flavor. Hummus was fantastic though!
McDonald’s - Safe option when in doubt.
Plenty more options to explore nearby too!
Overall:
The hotel and staff get a solid 9/10.
Hotel food: 6.5/10.
