The hotel was in a lovely position, directly on the beach, very clean, quiet, and modern. The staff (reception, cleaning, and kitchen) was incredibly polite, kind, and available, always ready to help with any issue. The food was absolutely wonderful!! Did not expect such tasty food from a hotel but it was honestly perfectly cooked and seasoned, and really varied too!! The pool area was always perfectly clean, with space for guests to relax under the sun or under the shade (nice palm trees area). The beach itself was very lovely too, clean and not too crowded. Overall had a wonderful time at Calypso and would come back!

its adults only hotel with great fitness program tailored to low intensity workout with attention to different age group and health conditions . It was a perfect program for our needs and super professional fitness trainer, Philip.
In addition, it was interesting entertainment options, for example, cocktails class with Ekin or Aloe Vera Workshop.

The best Hotel .
Everything is very clean, employees are very professional and kind and ready to help in any situation. Food was excellent, entertaining night as well. I can’t wait to return in your hotel, especially since we got engaged there ❤️. The best place to get engaged, celebrate and enjoy your vacation.

A really lovely adults-only hotel with wonderful sea view from almost all rooms. Excellent, helpful staff. Rooms and public areas all very clean. Rooms well appointed with large balconies, each with loungers and cushions. Bathrooms have large walk in showers. Comprehensive international buffet and a small, very nice, a la carte at extra cost. Bar charges very reasonable. Guests are almost exclusively German (at least German speaking, so expect to be spoken to in German). I find this very positive. Germans expect quality and this hotel certainly delivers.
Why not 5 stars? We've stayed here before and have noticed some cost cutting (or maybe just availability issues), plus the hotel charges for use of the in room safe. A hotel of this quality and price (not cheap) shouldn't be charging this as an extra. The biggest issue is there are only 2 lifts and no service lift. At busy times you can wait ages for a lift, or choose to walk up/down many flights of steps. Nevertheless, this is a hotel I'd return to time and again if I could.

Plus points:
Personnel - all were very friendly, welcoming, helpful.
No children, makes for good rest and relaxation.
Events for everyone- fitness , crafts, live music.
Spacious and clean rooms, terrace.
Great patio furniture.
Magnificent views - sunrise, sunset.
Grounds well-kept.
Sun terrace with double beds/cabanas and whirlpool.
Heated pool.
Very close to beach and village, yet quiet and peaceful.
Good water pressure.
Good WiFi, even in remote rooms.
Points for improvement:
Smokers at pool, on sun terrace, and on terraces of rooms - there should be smoking sections downwind, or make the garden all non-smoking.
Menu is heavy on meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. Not a lot of high-protein options for vegans (mostly white beans in tomato sauce). Many veggie dishes contain cheese or cream. Vegetables often cooked to death.
Water from faucets is not potable, but there is no fountain for drinking water anywhere. A water cooler with free drinking water would be nice.
Getting a room on the western end of the upper floors makes you walk long distances to the restaurants, pool, and beach.
Elevators: old, too few, sometimes out of order, full at meal times.
Erratic shower thermostat - getting hot/cold during showers.
TV channels only Spanish or German, at least BBC and CNN would be nice to have.
Only soap dispenser, no shampoo, conditioner or lotion.
Bathrobes were too small for us.
Overall we had a great two weeks, and some of the issues could easily be fixed (water coolers, toiletries, better vegan protein options, bathrobes for large sizes, English TV channels, no smoking policy).
If that were the case, we would certainly come back.
