Overall, Hotel Puente Real is a nice, modern hotel and definitely good value for the price, especially for an all inclusive stay. The hotel itself is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good for an all inclusive resort not exceptional, but there’s enough variety and quality to be satisfied. The location of the hotel is fantastic too with the view of the beach and sea.
However, there were a few issues during the stay. We were initially given a room with only two beds despite booking for three people, so we had to go back down to reception to get this changed, which was inconvenient after arriving. The air conditioning does not run cold during out of season periods, meaning we had to keep the balcony door open every night to stay comfortable. Also the bath rooms vary from room to room as ours had a bath with a shower in it with a small glass divider which didn’t really work and other rooms have a full large stand up shower
The TV in the bedroom wasn’t working either, although I didn’t end up reporting it as it wasn’t a major priority.
One of the main downsides was how busy the hotel felt, even out of season. The dinner queue on the last night was extremely long easily around 100 people waiting. The beach bar also only had one staff member making drinks, and because they were also preparing coffees, queues regularly built up to 10+ people, making it slow to get served.
Overall, it’s a good hotel with modern facilities, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms, and it offers solid value for money. However, the overcrowding and some of the smaller operational issues made the experience less relaxing than expected. I’m glad I stayed, but I’m unsure if I would return purely because of how busy it was, especially during what should have been a quieter period.

The hotel is quite old and was renovated a long time ago. Rather than having a charming vintage feel, it comes across as neglected and cheaply outdated.
Although the room was cleaned daily, it still felt dirty. We were hesitant to use the kettle because it smelled burnt.
The food was repetitive and unappetizing. By the end of our stay, we were completely fed up with it.
On the plus side, the location is excellent — just across the road from the beach. We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning. The balcony offered a limited view of the sea and coastline on one side, and the mountains on the other.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception and restaurant teams were especially great.

Loved this hotel. We will be looking to come back later in the year. Rooms were ok, two minor issues was tv not working in bedroom and the pool was ridiculously cold lol. However staff, food, drink are all amazing...thanks to you guys we will be back

We only stayed the one night, but were given a “suite” separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom, very comfortable and on the Paseo, excellent for flat walking and some excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast, which was included was buffet service of course, but had a wide selection of foods available, coffee was ok too. A bargain at €78!

My family had a really enjoyable experience here over the half term week.
The hotel is definitely not 4*. I'd give it 3*. I understand that it was not peak season (February) so they may have had less staff but there were still a lot of people there. The queues to line up for meal times were ridiculous! I would never expect to have to queue up with the whole resort to wait for a breakfast, lunch or dinner table outside the restaurant, and then queue again in line to help ourselves to the buffet. They needed more staff to clear the tables in a more timely fashion. With that being said, all of the staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and polite. The buffet food wasnt great and the italian restaurant was closed so we ended up eating out in local restautants.
They could have had more bars open as we had to keep walking a way to the closest open bar because not everything was open due to the season - and then keep queuing up again which ate into our relaxing together time. Not the worst problem in the world but I would expect better for a 4* establishment.
The toilet cleanliness near reception and the hall was not good. I Understand that many people, both adults and children were using them but they need to do better. Sometimes there was no toilet roll, no soap, a lock on one cubicle door was broken so couldnt used (that was the only cubicle with toilet roll) and somtimes there was pee on the floor. Because its a family resort the toilet facilities should be attended to more often. I did see staff checking the toilets on a daily basis but due to the amount of people using them they should be checked more regularly.
Reception staff were okay, they had a lot of work to do as there were very long queues when people were checking into the hotel. Not all of the reception staff speak english, but thats okay we just had to wait until someone who did speak english could help. Again, not a problem, but for 4*, it would be better to have more multilingual staff. Overall the reception staff were smiley, polite and helpful but they need more staff. The phones werent getting answered and we often had to queue for a long time to speak to someone.
Our room was adequate. There were quite a few ants but maybe that cant be helped. The rooms were clean and serviced everyday, towels were changed but bedsheets were not. The beds were remade with the same sheets. We were given a travel cot for our baby which was helpful but we had to ask for it despite emailing the hotel asking for one weeks before our arrival. It would have been nice for it to already be in our room when we checked in. I'm being picky only because i was expecting 4*. The rooms were a bit dated decor wise, by facility wise it was fine. The wifi worked everywhere, the lifts always worked and step free access was good as we had a buggy.
The kids club was closed but there were still some activities for them to do like boules, archery and mini disco. The entertainment team SAVED our whole experience. They were full of energy, very friendly and kind and made our time spent here very fun. I want to give a special thanks to CELIA and SURAYA. They included our 8 year old son in everything, made a special bond with our baby girl who absolutely loved them and had nice chats and interactions with my husband and I whenever they saw us. The little things like remembering our names and showing manners, kindness, thoughtfulness and respect were heavily appreciated. They encouraged us to do bingo, karoake, a dance class and even a dance competition which was hilarious! These extra activities made our holiday so much fun.
Despite the hotel being overrated in stars, it was not bad, we had a fantastic time and made the most of the experience.
THOSE GIRLS ON THE ANIMATION TEAM NEED MEDALS. - OR LOTS OF MONEY 😅 BECAUSE THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU VERY MUCH CELIA AND SURAYA FOR ADDING SOME EXTRA FUN AND LAUGHS TO OUR FAMILY TRIP ❤️
