As frequent cruisers we decided to have a change and book to stay in a hotel. Mirachoro we were not disappointed. Breakfast excellent hot cold whatever you wanted. Replenished regularly. Something for everyone. Coffee machine serves great coffee. Staff move like colony of ants! No dirty dishes piling up anywhere. Good assortment of books to read couple of umbrellas you can borrow for the beach. Reception booked taxi to go to beach (€4). Also made us reservation at restaurants. Guest have been coming back for years. We felt safe there. Pool bit cold but lovely. No fight for loungers. You did have a few guests who were up very early reserving “their” spot. Rooms had everything we needed. Took our own kettle hotel doesn’t supply. Pool bar served good lunch and drinks. Bar in hotel only opens in evening. If you are not mobile it’s a bit of a trek up and down the hill. Only one tiny negative: hotel staff were not well informed of what was available in the area. No recommendations trips or restaurants. Would be good idea if they had a book guests could put recommendations restaurants etc.

Hotel is lovely. Spotlessly clean. Quiet hotel in an lovely location. Just a very short walk away from the main shops and restaurants. Yes pool can be cold but at 32-36° everyday let me tell you, you need it cold. Breakfast was lovely. Most of the staff are attentive. A couple not so much. Ladies the clean the rooms are helpful and friendly. One very miserable lady receptionist with an attitude and very unhelpful. When you work in hospitality, smile like you mean it even if you don't. Overall very lovely stay. Would definitely recommend. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Carvoeiro is lovely and lively and the weather was just gorgeous. Thank you

Rooms are comfortable, nice big balcony, nice pool. But hotel lacks any atmosphere. The hall, corridors, bar, everything could as well be in a hospital. Custom-made for the package tourist. They do not expect anything more.

Just arrived back in the uk from a lovely few days away with my best friends. I can honestly say the staff were amazing lovely breakfast and the whole hotel and rooms were very spotless. My only negative would be a few more chairs in shaded areas or umbrellas would be needed if I had gone during the summer months but this is a little gem of a very reasonably priced hotel within a lovely safe feeling resort. We will be returning

My 2nd stay at Mirachoro Carvoeiro. The last time was in 2001, the year it first opened. The vibe of the hotel was just as chilled and lovely as it was 22 years ago. I love the updated reception area, bar with pool table, breakfast room area and outdoor pool bar with stools. We also loved the addition of the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and ultra-clean toilets and showers. Shout out to breakfast staff. Lovely selection of food, constantly being re-filled. Food available for every diet choice. The WiFi was excellent and the aircon unit in the room was efficient. We had a smart TV in our room and watched Netflix on our chilled moments. I was aware of narrow bath with shower curtain so wasn't bothered by it at all. You might want to take a full size suitcase, as we did, so you can take a travel hairdryer and maybe a travel kettle? I definitely recommend hiring out the safe box in the room. It is 3 euros per night to hire. It is a shame that you have to pay for it, but I remembered doing this on my previous visit, so was prepared. 20 Euro deposit in cash, returned on departure. I was delighted to stay at this hotel and will definitely stay there again.
