We spent Christmas at Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO in Playa Blanca and overall had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
The Christmas dinner was excellent and very well organised — a big compliment to the kitchen team for their hard work and attention to detail. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and the location is truly beautiful and peaceful.
We stayed in a suite with access to the Privilege Lounge, which was a great choice, particularly for half-board guests. It added an extra level of comfort to our stay. The spa was a real highlight — very relaxing and excellent value at £20 for 90 minutes. The gym is well maintained and perfectly suitable for a basic workout.
The animation team also deserves praise. Despite the hotel being quieter during our stay, they remained enthusiastic and welcoming, and we really enjoyed taking part in the activities and games that were on offer.
If there is one small area for improvement, it would be housekeeping consistency. During our longer stay, room servicing and bedding changes did not always take place as regularly as expected. We did mention this at reception, and while it didn’t significantly impact our enjoyment, addressing this would make the experience even better.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would be very happy to return to the hotel in the future.

The Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO hotel is located in a quiet area of Playa Blanca, about 40 minutes from the airport (by car). I spent 6 nights there in a room with a direct sea view. I'll start on a positive note. The reception staff were very nice and welcomed us with a welcome drink. Upon entering the room, I was impressed by the beautiful sea view (I had paid for a room with a direct sea view). The room faced east, so I could see the sunrise from the balcony very well. A slightly unpleasant experience was when the smell from the adjacent sewage treatment plant could be felt on the balcony in the morning.
The room was spacious enough and also sufficiently equipped (you have a kettle, hairdryer, refrigerator, TV, air conditioning). There was a lot of storage space and the sofa next to the bed was also practical. The beds were equipped with a comfortable mattress, which was too soft for me (however, firmness is a matter of preference). There were three types of pillows to choose from, which I appreciate. However, I appreciate the design of the room less, which seemed older and was already suitable for reconstruction. However, I appreciate the stable stable wifi internet, which is not even standard nowadays.
During my stay, I had paid half board, i.e. breakfast and dinner. And I must say that it was worth it. I was satisfied. The food was very tasty and varied, although I have also experienced a larger selection of food in the 4* hotel category. For dinner, there was a choice of cold and hot cuisine, with meat and meatless dishes, sweet cakes, ice cream and water was included in the price of half board. I always ate well, also because the food was very well prepared and of high quality.
I was satisfied with my stay at the Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO hotel and I recommend it. Less and medium-demanding clients will certainly be satisfied.

Service in the restaurant varies from great to awful, it just depends who you get. One woman clearing dishes was simply just rude to everyone. Food awful at lunch time. Totally avoid. Fries are completely inedible and stay out for hours. Breakfast good, evening meal OK. No coffee machine in the evening makes the hotel feel cheap as does the poor provision of coffee and milk (two small cartons a day.) in the room. One staff member clearing dishes etc. needs training or replacing.
Really nice hotel cat who knows a lot about customer service.

Room was okay, bathroom also okay, not much water pressure but I think Lanzarote is careful with water. View outside the room was of a wall, and not much privacy from other guests.
Didn't use the pool, too busy out and about Lanzarote.
Food: we had the half board, breakfast was a good spread, but dinner was often samey, meats not cooked well, it's a miracle my partner didn't get food poisoning, his chicken was 50% raw (unfortunately not an exaggeration). Desserts were bland, and mostly just had a lot of whipped cream in different varieties of cake/ pots (and I'm lactose intolerant). Not 4* food for sure, 3* at best.
We had breakfast at 9am one day - absolute carnage, things not replaced, empty trays of food with no replacement. If you're an early riser, get there earlier.
Positives: Free fizzy/ still water dispensers/ hotel cat/ location. Beds were comfortable. Not too loud at night. Unlimited coffee at breakfast.
We booked on a good deal, but had it have been full price would have been more disappointed.
(Didn't really take any pictures of the hotel, too busy out hiking)
