Really big rooms, with large bedroom, separate lounge with large screen TV, big bathroom with bath/shower and another separate shower cubicle. Decoration in the bathroom is plain, but all big and fairly clean.
Staff all very friendly which helps. On all-inclusive, food in main restaurant is average. There is also an Italian Restaurant which is included but needs booking in advance. Excellent Steak and excellent food there, and we were able to book multiple times...but the menu does not change.
Bar service very good, drinks served fast, only one person serving drinks, but very efficient system and no queues when we went for drinks. Drinks choice felt slightly limited, but all usual cocktails available.
Location good, we like walking and in winter not too hot, like a British summer, around 3 km to 4 km to beach and town centre. Shuttle bus too, at 9:30 once every day, to the beach.
Swimming pools all clean and reasonable size. Room/apartments clustered around each pool, so each group of rooms effectively has its own pool, so never too busy (we were there in December).
Tip - worth hiring a car for 3 or 4 days, see the central mountains, the rugged north coast, picturesque villages in North East, all contrast nicely with Maspalomas which has golden beaches, and the sand dunes of course.
All in all an excellent value choice hotel, given three stars because food at best average (except Italian Restaurant, though that had same menu each day), and rooms, while nice and big, are a little tardy in the bathroom. No complaints, just that food and bathrooms just tipped it out of luxurious into good value.

It's a decent enough place. The staff were good. The thing that let's it down is the food. A couple of evenings there was a really poor choice of food in the buffet and not many staff to make a difference.
Overall, an OK place to stay.

Great hotel for families with clubs for the children and entertainment.
The rooms were spacious and if you have a ground floor one (odd numbered room), then you get 2 sunbeds outside your room which was ideal by the pool. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. Kettle and fridge in the room with milk and tea/coffee topped up each day if needed.
Variety of food each night (one night was Chinese, Italian, mexican etc) but also salad and a good selection of puddings and fresh bread or fruit.
There was a free shuttle bus service to a few destinations which ran once a day but there was a taxi rank on the island close to the apartments too and a good (cheap) bus service within walking distance too.
Air conditioning and safe were included and towels for apartment use as well as additional ones for by the pool which was a lovely touch. Round the pool was astro turf so was kind on little feet and not slippy. Larger pools are heated but not the baby ones. This just meant children needed armbands as the shallow end of the pool was still fairly deep (1.15m).
Cleaners popped in each day but towels were only changed once within the week.

Checked in last night, room is great, alot of space. Beds are comfortable. Booked a room with terrace or balcony. Definitely try for a balcony. The terrace has no privacy and people sunbathing right up to it. The areas are all clean, pools warm.
Only major downside is dinner last night nearly all the hot options were totally cold. Even the white dishes on the hot plates were cold like they aren't turned on or non functioning. Hoping today it's better. Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Reasoning for low location is a simple problem too far from commercial shops. Spar is around the corner handy for water, etc, but pricey. Service at the hotel was excellent. Rooms were spacious, clean, and beds made every day. Food was similar every day. Drinks were very good. Entertainment excellant. Well done to Sarah and her team. The swimming pool was the problem with green algae.
