This is a very nice hotel. The team is really attentive and patient (shout out to Samuel, the breakfasts show cooker, always a smile on his face and overall a sunshining person). The breakfast was one of the best I was given to try, very good omelets and quite a big variety of products to choose from.
The AC in the room is a really good point, and you can change the temperature as you please.
We did rent a car through the hotels service and it all went great.
Overall a really nice experience, even though we do have to say that the house keeping was not always at its best (we did have to ask them to vacuum because they had not done it for the entire stay), but nothing horrible really.

Overall this was a great, affordable place to stay. There is a bus stop down the street that will get you into Palma and it’s really close to the beach and some good bars/restaurants. The staff were very kind and attentive and could be considered a highlight of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower were stocked with basic toiletries, with other items available upon request.
That being said, I find it hard to call this a 4-star hotel. The main complaints I have with this hotel lie in its construction. The elevator is tiny and showing its age (not a problem for me as a single person, but something to note for those in large wheelchairs). The walls are paper thin; I could easily hear conversations in the room next to mine, and when you’re in the hallway you can hear them halfway down the hall. The air conditioning (at least in my room) doesn’t seem like it was capable of producing cold air; it kept the room at an acceptable temperature, but I still found myself having to sleep with blankets off. On my first night, my room door’s card reader battery died and the attendant on call was having a hard time fixing it; this wouldn’t have been a huge deal if it weren’t midnight and took until 1am to get the door open (though he was dealing with checking in customers at the time, so I knew he was a bit overwhelmed). I understand that I just got really unlucky with the battery running out during my stay and the attendant was very apologetic for taking so long to fix it, so I don’t really blame the hotel for this, but some sort of compensation would have been nice. Hopefully it is part of their maintenance list to replace the batteries every so often before they die and inconvenience a customer. Also, I would highly recommend for the hotel to put in peepholes in the doors of every room as a safety measure, that should be a standard.
Hopefully this can be taken as constructive criticism and can be used to improve certain aspects of the hotel, as I do not think it is one of the bad ones, it could just use a bit of sprucing up.

The hotel is in a good area, the breakfast is particularly rich, and the service from the reception staff is very good. However, the rooms are not in the best condition, especially the bathroom. To begin with, the rooms are quite small, and there are no places where you can hang a towel or anything else to dry. Nevertheless, on the balcony door there is a sign saying that nothing should be hung outside. But where are we supposed to dry our clothes when we return from the beach? Mallorca is a summer destination. Also, overpriced for 200+ euros per night.

One of the best hotels I’ve been to this year! Everyone working in the hotel was very kind, welcoming and helpful, as this was my first trip alone, they gave me excellent advice and recommendations for my days in Mallorca. The breakfast was excellent, a wide variety of food. The pool is big and the place is super relaxing. Definitely will come back with my family!!!

Highlights
• Excellent location: Nestled in Cala Major, the hotel lies just meters from the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró and a short walk (around 5–10 minutes) to Cala Major beach. Public transport is within easy reach for trips into central Palma.
• Art-infused atmosphere: As the only Joan Miró–themed hotel in the world, it artfully blends contemporary luxury with cultural inspiration. The décor features artwork and motifs tied to the famous artist.
• Pools and leisure facilities: Guests love the spacious, well-kept outdoor pool with ample loungers and a peaceful vibe—even at peak times.
• Fitness amenities: The small but adequately equipped gym overlooking the pool earns praise, especially for convenience and ambiance—though it’s better suited for one or two users at a time.
• Friendly, helpful staff & solid breakfast: Reviewers frequently highlight the warm, accommodating service, with numerous comments on how helpful and pleasant the staff are. The breakfast buffet is consistently described as varied and tasty.
• Good value for money: Prices start from approximately €89–€139 for a double room, inclusive of breakfast depending on season. The hotel ranks well in terms of value.
Points to Consider
• Hills and location relative to city centre: Some guests noted it’s a bit of a hike—or bus ride—down to the beach or into Palma city centre, especially uphill returns.
• Mixed Wi‑Fi experiences: While the hotel provides free Wi‑Fi, some guests report variable signal strength in certain areas of the hotel.
• Occasional noise and parking caveats: A few guests mention noise disturbances near some rooms (e.g., ventilation units) and limited on-site parking—though paid parking is available nearby.
Summary
Hotel Joan Miró Museum is a charming 4-star gem offering a serene, art-inspired stay just steps from both culture and coast. Its strengths—welcoming staff, excellent breakfast, relaxing pool, and proximity to the Miró Foundation—make it a top pick for leisure travelers and families. With reasonable pricing and family-friendly features (like a children’s pool, game room, and flexible room options), it’s ideal for a relaxing Mallorcan getaway. Minor caveats like Wi‑Fi variability, parking logistics, or slight noise are typical for its location and are mostly outweighed by its many positives.
