Fantastic hotel with brilliant staff. We were an utter nuisance the whole time we stayed here, and the staff were so friendly and helpful with all of our dumb demands.
Great location close to the central bus and train stations, and some restaurants. Interesting view over the bustling port district. Breakfast includes champagne!!
Unless you're super-rich I wouldn't recommend the luxury suite - the budget rooms are about as nice at a lesser cost.

Definitely not a four-star hotel: Paid €20 early check-in fee and got an abandoned room that seemed no one has ever lived there (not sure if the front desk lady did it on purpose or not). The window stuck open and AC was not working, the room was super hot and humid. Had to switch to another room late at night, and that room had a strong sewage smell. Glad I only stayed a night and did not encounter any pest issues as others have mentioned.

This was our second stay at the hotel. It is a lovely hotel and all the staff we encountered were very nice. A special mention must go to the staff on duty at breakfast and the one in The Botanical restaurant where we ate on a couple of evenings.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking a side street, but was very quiet.
The location is very handy for Maria Zambrano train station (train runs directly to/from airport). However, the hotel is a long way from the city centre, attractions and restaurants.
There is a gym and pool/sauna on site, but we did not use these facilities.

Very good place to stay! 15 min by walk to the city centre and 10 min to the beach. Big room, Luxury breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. Opendoor pool. Calm lobby good for work. Recommended much.

Unfortunately for a hotel that charges almost 330 euros per night on May, some things are unacceptable:
1) Its location is not something special. It is quite away from most Malaga's sites
2) The rooms have decent space but the bathrooms need renovation and the mattresses are not comfortable at all
3) The hotel has serious issues with sound proofing. Your sleep can be super hard with noises coming from everywhere.
4) The reception was not particularly kind...and not welcoming at all.
5) The breakfast was mediocre without even fresh orange juice (they use ready orange juice).
6) Their policy of taking your time from a room that you will use after midnight (and they know that many days before) but refusing to let you a couple of hours later for your checkout is at least unethical (OK we know the fairytale that this is based on availability bla bla but when someone is booking a room and declares that will arrive after 0:00 midnight and asks you to leave 15:00 is very logical and a big hotel should fulfill that with normal and not low priority ...
It is a booking, not a favor, because your hotel has our room available even for a super late checkout on 18:00 and we have paid an extra full day for half night).
