Great place. Close to the beach. Plenty of restaurant options close by.
Pools never seemed to get busy.
Staff where excellent.
The option to swap evening meal for lunch was a great bonus.
My only real issue, was that the rooms where a little dated.
Had a fantastic stay would highly recommend.

A great place for a family holiday. Lovely gardens around all the pools. The quiet pool is especially beautiful to look out from and relax.
The complex just seems a little tired and they seem to struggle to keep it all maintained. Bathroom in our superior room was lovely and seemed recently updated. Sadly not enough switches around the place and ironing shorts was a real challenge so I'd recommend bringing your own steamer for ease.
The mini club is great and the kids really enjoyed the activities. The family activities in the main pool are also very engaging and well run.
Overall would recommend. The hotel needs to try and upgrade the rest of the room and bring more into the future. Once done, this place will be amazing!

We went as a group with 3 separate rooms so I'll summarise my review:
Rooms: very clean, but the bugs were a nuisance and with phobias it didn't help.
Service: everyone was friendly and all but we weren't told quite clearly how the dinner worked (we didn't know that we had turns and that we couldn't just go to the dinner early and stay until 22:00. Otherwise everything worked out and we don't have more complaints about this topic)
We also didn't enjoy dinner like we would have thought because it was too chaotic to take food from the buffet. I'd suggest putting some workers there and make people wait in line and just make it clear that you start from point X etc so people don't jump on each other.
Another thing that some of us didn't like was that for example the bowling was just 1h45min on a SUNDAY. Some of us don't want to stay in the pool the whole day so the bowling would have been great but the line was too long for that short time so please change it if possible. Also just more activities in general. The spa could also be just a little bit cheaper or have the possibility of a discount (student, elderly etc.). Also the pool, we were told we couldn't swim past 7pm and I found that weird since it could've been more peaceful for some of us without the kids and all. Speaking of kids, I understand that one pool was for families so please make the other pool just for adults or at least 15+, not for babies and toddlers.
The location was great, I don't have any complaints about it.

Book this hotel !!! Beautiful setting, beautiful local town with picturesque views. Rooms are great, pools are brilliant, restaurants are great ( even a Michelin Star restaurant on site), champagne breakfast, security pass doors to get from the lobby ( which is stunning) into the complex. Value for money is good. If you want to stay in Gran Canaria in one of the better ( if not the best) hotel then this is the one. Designed with smaller blocks in an old Spanish style, this hotel is a lot classier than the others. Our transfer coach back to the airport enabled us to see all of the other hotels along the route as our hotel was the last drop-off. We were so glad we booked here, it was luxury compared to the others we saw. Our only problem was with the toilet, I reported the problem and when we came back from lunch it had been fixed, couldn't fault the service. We went end of July/Start of August when they were holding a local festival called 'Fiesta del Carmen' and we treated to a great firework show on the last Saturday of the festival. Easy and quick access to the beach and harbour 5-10 minute walk. Supermarket across the road. Entertainment every night on site, disco for the kids too.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location.
Check in staff were very helpful and provided us with keys ahead of our room being officially ready in order that we could make use of other facilities in the hotel.
The cleaning team were excellent - turning our sofa bed into a bed each evening and back to a sofa in the morning, all the time managing to do this while we were either out or at meals.
Evening meal time was the only downside really. For the buffet, they have 2 sittings: 6:15 - 7:45 and then 8:15 - 9:45. When we arrived we were advised of this and, despite having a 5 year-old with us, were told by reception that the 6:15 was full and we had to go to the 8:15. We did this for the first 2 nights and then asked about changing it with the restaurant staff who managed to accommodate this without any difficulty, so I believe they could have let us have the earlier sitting from the start.
The hotel adjoins an archeological site in the town for which access is provided via a gate into the burial area of the site, and a short walk takes you across to the ancient village which now has a hotel bar on the hillside overlooking the town and sea front. I believe that you can access the site from the street, but that has a small entrance fee, whereas access is included within your hotel costs.
There are also a number of additional access gates alongside the hotel giving easy access to the town itself without having to trek back up to reception which means that it is only a 5 minute walk down to the beach.
