We recently stayed at the Alay Hotel as a group of 22 girls, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating—nothing was too much trouble.
Special shoutout to the front desk team for their patience and good humor, especially when one of the girls had to count out 20 replacement room cards on our way out! That moment really summed up how supportive and easygoing the staff were the entire stay.
We were a big group, but we always felt looked after and appreciated. Thanks again to everyone at Alay Hotel—you made our trip even more memorable!

What a place this is. Super clean. Staff cannot do enough for you.
Great rooms great location for everything.
Just want to say a big thankyou for the staff that sorted the bouquet of flowers for me.
Highly reccomend this hotel.
I recommend you get a suite with sea view as the views are breathtaking you can see the whole town

The staff were all delightful.
The room was good, but as others have stated on the reviews, more shelves would be helpful (may be above the safe in the wardrobe for example?).
I would have also liked there to have been two doors on the sliding wardrobe in place - whilst in bed the choice of either staring at myself in the mirror & the clothes on view or alternatively looking at safe & mini fridge & clothes covered by the mirror door isn’t very appealing.
I was able to request an iron & ironing board to use & both were clean & looked reasonably new.
I believe you can also request a kettle, but i brought my travel one in case they didn’t have any available.
Restaurant:
More like a canteen with bright lights okay at breakfast, but no atmosphere in the evenings, other than being very noisy, & I’m partially deaf!
Breakfast was adequate & was more or less the same most mornings, you soon worked out what you liked etc. They also provide paper cups for you to take away a coffee/tea at breakfast time.
Dinner was rather repetitive over a week & the food dries out really quickly under the heated lamps (the fish in particular). The “green vegetables “ always looked way over cooked & unappealing to me.
Good selection of cheese, fruit & nuts if you don’t wish to eat the various sweet desserts & they do have some basic ice creams in little tubs in chiller, but as I don’t eat this so i can’t say if it was any good. No coffee served in the restaurant in the evening.

My partner and I cannot fault the Hotel Alay. Our room and Bathroom were spacious and very clean with large wardrobe, wide screen TV and a very comfortable bed. The hotel itself was was very contemporary and up to date with its décor and facilities. The staff were very polite and helpful. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel and were very surprised to be offered such a wide selection of good quality food. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. With regards to its location you are literally five minutes from the beach, the high street and the marina where there are a large selection of good quality restaurants. As I said we could not fault this hotel and after enjoying one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time, I would fully recommend the Hotel Alay to anyone.

Nice hotel great location friendly staff, other than the bar manager, which I found rude. Annoying issue with room only 1 door on wardrobe, so all clothes on display, no drawers to put personal effects in, room felt untidy, my biggest issue however is the restaurant, we have been here 2 weeks 1/2 board, big mistake! The food is so repetitive, hardly any variation, along with breakfast, the guys, which we have seen a few on the breakfast egg station haven’t got a clue, long waits, only cooking 1 to 2 eggs at a time. Also don’t appreciate being charged €3 for a bottle of water, too pricy. We would not do full board again B & B only
