Positives and negatives to this hotel.
Negatives:
- no air con in rooms just a poor working fan. €50 a week if you want an air con unit.
- the evening dinner buffet is poor selection (always a lot more fish in things) and warm at best. Nearly every night 60-70% of it must of been thrown out.
- breakfast buffet is bloody tough to get fried eggs. Never enough out and seemed to be always waiting for them. Not the best as most seemed overcooked as well.
- lifeguards don’t speak any English
- sunbeds uncomfortable
- location a bit of a challenge if you can’t do stairs or hills
Positives:
- food is brilliant ordering off the menus. U don’t have to have the buffet you can choose to eat off a small menu if you are half board. Steak recommended.
- staff are mostly very friendly and helpful only the English language barrier for some prevents perfect service.
- value for money taking everything into consideration
- rooms are very acceptable for the price
- pool nice and pool area clean
- always sunbeds available
Summary: nice hotel, stick to menus if you eat in, not the buffet. Given 4/5 as value for money holiday but it would have been 3/5 if we had to eat off the dinner buffet.

Just returned after staying 10 Days at HG Lomo Blanco.The apartment we stayed in was clean, tidy, had everything you need for a self catering holiday. They even provided a bottle of water, nice touch, especially when you arrive late at night.The shower was amazing, hot and powerful.
There wasn't any air con, but they did provide a fan. We found that if you opened the door and the patio door, it created a brilliant wind tunnel..! Used the fan in the bedroom.
Location was spot on. There are steps leading down to the strip, turn left out of the hotel, cross the road, walk to the end. The view is stunning.
The staff were very helpful, polite and did there very best to give directions.
Plenty of sunbeds, but get down early if you want a umbrella, they soon go! Sunbed wars!! There were a few beds that had towels on first thing, but wasn't used till the afternoon!!!
Can't comment on the restaurant food, but we did have lunch at the pool side bar, very reasonably priced and typical fast food, tasty though and busy.
Overall a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

We have just got back from a 2 week stay at this hotel. Was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. But can honestly say was amazing place to stay. Rooms clean and tidy everything you need in them (no air con) but they do give you fans and we did take our own after reading the reviews.
Great value for food and drinks. We had the most amazing meal at the hotel main restaurant 16 of us and was the best meal we had.
The staff working within the pool bar and the main bar are amazing nothing is to much to ask and always so happy and friendly very welcoming.
Location I thought was perfect to the main strip or the old town. You can avoid the big hills easily by going along to the supermarket and taking the lift to the 3rd floor.
Swimming pool very well managed and looked after and loads of sunbeds.
We will definitely go back

Fabulous stay at Lomo Blanco apts, old town, shopping centre, main stretch all within a few minutes from the apartment .we stayed in block B, lovely and quiet,apartment absolutely spotless.
Special thanks to Christina who could not have been more helpful, nothing was to much for her in helping us. Special thanks also for the drink and card on my birthday to the management

It seems our apartments/rooms were newly renovated. Huge bathrooms, comfortable beds and kept very clean. Cleaning came by every 2 days.
Super friendly helpful staff. Only the place could do with better coffee haha.
Location is within walking distance of the seaside restaurants.
