Our family recently stayed for 3 nights at Grecotel Creta Palace following its full renovation reopening, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this was genuine hospitality at its highest level.
From the warm welcome at the gates to the seamless arrival experience, every staff member made us feel sincerely cared for. Elena handled our check-in beautifully, offering refreshments and a thoughtful overview of the property, while Georgios, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, stood out throughout our stay for his warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness.
We stayed on the LUXME All Inclusive experience in a Family Garden Room, which was perfect for travelling with children. The room was beautifully renovated, comfortable and well laid out, with thoughtful touches including a minibar, coffee machine and separate space for the children. Being close to the kids club and second pool made family travel incredibly easy.
What impressed us most was the consistency of service across the entire resort. Every interaction felt warm, attentive and effortless without ever being intrusive. The balance between luxury and family friendliness is done exceptionally well here.
The children loved the kids club, nightly entertainment and pool areas, while we appreciated the calm atmosphere, excellent dining and thoughtful details throughout the property. Breakfast was outstanding each morning and the Greek hospitality genuinely shone through every part of the experience.
A special thank you also to Maria from Guest Services, Sophia at the spa, Ana at the salon and the wonderful team at Agreco Farm who made my birthday celebration feel incredibly memorable and personal.
As a family travelling full-time and regularly staying in luxury hotels globally, Grecotel Creta Palace exceeded many experiences we have had worldwide — not through extravagance, but through authenticity, warmth and exceptional people.
An unforgettable stay and without question one of the warmest luxury family resorts we have experienced.

We recently stayed at the beautiful Grecotel Creta Palace and overall had a fantastic experience in an amazing location. The hotel itself is stunning, with lovely grounds, multiple pools, and direct access to the beach which made it perfect for relaxing throughout the day. Being able to walk from the pool straight onto the beach within seconds was a huge bonus and the setting around the hotel is absolutely beautiful.
The rooms were much bigger than expected, very clean, comfortable, and ideal for families or couples wanting plenty of space. The whole hotel had a luxury feel while still being welcoming and relaxed.
The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a huge variety available every day and everything tasting fresh and well prepared. The drinks also flowed all day and night, with great service from the staff who always seemed happy to help and kept the atmosphere lively and enjoyable.
The only disappointing part of the holiday was that the hotel was advertised and booked with slides, but when we arrived there were none available. To be fair, the hotel did provide us with a day pass to another hotel with water slides, which was appreciated, but we still had to pay for the taxi ourselves which felt a little unfair considering the misunderstanding.
Despite that issue, we still had a wonderful stay and would happily return again in the future.

As a frequent traveler I can only say: Absolutely wonderful! The people, the rooms, the view - we had a vacation of a lifetime with our little one year old and grandma. You feel welcomed from the first second and can expect international 5 star service. From the buffet - which is outstandingly delicious and offers big variety throughout the day - to the beautiful pool, beach and children’s play area - this hotel is phenomenal. Rooms are cleaned efficiently and with care (our babies cot and pajama’s were folded specially every single day), there is a big variety of high quality foods for young and old, and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back! Thank you for such a beautiful time!

This is not a 5-star resort. While the staff were consistently polite and welcoming, the overall quality of the hotel does not match the price or the claimed category.
The rooms are old, shabby, and far below 5-star standards. The first room we received was extremely disappointing, and although we moved to another one, it also had several issues and was quite small. The manager mentioned that renovations are planned for next year. hopefully future guests will have a better experience.
The spa and sauna area is very small and outdated, again nowhere near what you would expect from a luxury hotel. The food was okay, but more in line with a 3–4 star property, not a 5-star one.
The cocktails were not consistently same quality.
The beach area has many rocks, which also made it less enjoyable.
We enjoyed the gardens and the swimming pool area. They look clean and well taken care of.
We appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, but overall, the stay did not meet our expectations and did not deliver the experience we hoped for.

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Greto Palace Hotel! From the moment we arrived—quite late in the evening—we were warmly welcomed by Nasia, whose hospitality made all the difference. She was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful, taking the time to show us everything we needed to know despite the late hour. Her genuine friendliness instantly made us feel at home.
The hotel itself was just as impressive—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was taken care of, and the atmosphere throughout our stay was peaceful and relaxing.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Special thanks to Nasia for going above and beyond—she’s a real asset to the hotel. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for excellent service and a welcoming environment!
