The location of this hotel,on a hill,gives great views across San Agustin bay which is particularly nice at sunrise and sunset. Our room was great,a few signs of wear and tear but immaculate and fully functional. The cleaning staff did a really good job. Food in the buffet restaurant was really good with a huge well presented selection. The restaurant staff kept everything tidy and nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were very helpful and bar staff attentive. Pool area was kept immaculately. We could not fault anything about this hotel and will definitely return.

We stayed for 11 nights in February booking with Jet2. Very nice hotel in a quieter part of Gran Canaria. Lovely friendly staff. Food was good and plentiful, although often wrongly labelled. It was often difficult to get a drink at lunch and dinner as the waiting staff were so busy. 2 free buses to nearby Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas per day. Public buses to Puerto de Mogan and Las Palmas were fairly frequent but usually full so difficult to get on. To get to public buses and seafront necessitated a walk up and down a steep hill. Plenty of sunbeds around the large pool. Lots of daily entertainment including yoga, boules, aqua aerobics and bingo. Nightly entertainment included singers, magicians and dancers and was mostly from 9 for 45 mins, followed by a singer.

We arrived with a confirmed booking for a circuit for two including two 50-minute massages (paid via voucher) and were told there was no massage booking on their system.
We were then left waiting while multiple staff spoke amongst themselves in Spanish, with minimal acknowledgement and no clear explanation of what was happening. The situation felt chaotic and uncomfortable rather than professional or calming. One receptionist was polite and clearly trying, but he seemed left to deal with a stressful problem alone.
The alternatives offered were not comparable to what we had booked, and we had to rearrange our plans. When we eventually received the massages, they were poor quality and felt noticeably shorter than the advertised 50 minutes. The whole experience felt awkward, rushed, and badly managed from start to finish.
What made it worse was how this was handled afterwards. I raised the issue by email and received a slow response, followed by no meaningful resolution unless I return in the future. That isn’t acceptable for a service that went wrong during the stay.
This was meant to be a relaxing spa visit - it was the opposite. I would not recommend it

Nice hotel.
Reception staff were generally very helpful and great moving us from a “sea view” room on the second floor to the seventh floor where we could see the sea.
Top floor, adult only pool, sun bathing and bar area - staff, service was excellent.
Gorbea restaurant- food was excellent and service.
Thalasso spa - we had a massage and used the salt spa pools on a couple of days. Very enjoyable and good service.
Gym - spacious, pretty well equipped and kept clean.
The main buffet restaurant - food was largely acceptable and improved. Restaurant staff were so focused on the operational side of doing their jobs and it felt like you, the customer, was in the way. Hotel did a survey on this and the service in the buffet restaurant improved for like a day.
Still a great holiday and a very positive opinion of the hotel overall.

This was my third time in Gran Canaria, and staying at Gloria Palace San Agustín made this trip especially memorable. From the very first day, the hotel had a calm and welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax and feel comfortable.
The staff were kind, professional, and always helpful, contributing to a warm and pleasant environment throughout the entire stay.
The location is peaceful and beautiful, making it ideal for unwinding, while still being close to the beach and numerous shops. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for resting after sunny days.
Overall, Gloria Palace San Agustín is a hotel that leaves you with lovely memories and a genuinely good feeling, and I would happily recommend it. Thank you!
