We have stayed here twice and think overall the hotel is wonderful for kids, but we did have a couple of negatives this time round compared to two years ago.
Pros - amazing pools for the kids including fun activities, food is incredible and so fresh, tasty and varied. Location is great - very close to beach and local amenities including market, train etc. hotel is very clean and staff largely very friendly. Spa also nice and free spa was a nice touch. Gym has been updated and is much better. Activities such as mini golf, football, table tennis all great too. Lots for kids.
Mini club staff excellent and great that this is included for free.
Cons - we found some of the staff less friendly this time round, not all, but at times we felt like a bit of a nuisance. We had an odd situation where the housekeeper brought in her manager whilst we were in the room and then they started taking photos of the floor. We believe they were saying it wasn't possible to clean the floor because of the kids toys etc but rather than communicating this with us, they spoke in Spanish to each other, took photos then left. We found this quite rude.
- one staff member on the upstairs bar added on a tip when he saw me hesitating over what to press. This was very intentional and whilst I am happy to tip, I want it to be my own decision.
- we loved the sunbed service when it works, but we twice had items missing or had to chase up drinks. Perhaps not enough staff? Queue at slide pool was very long at times.
- every morning at breakfast we had to ask for additional items - children's bowls, plates, spoons etc, coffee took a while to arrive, at dinner we had to chase up drinks staff. We appreciate they are busy but this made it not feel 5*
- the mini disco starts quite late (8.15) which leaves the shows going on from 9pm - 9.45/10. One evening it ran past 10 which for predominantly British children is quite late. Two of the shows we saw were Disney shows so definitely aimed at kids, but it would be better if they were slightly earlier as some shows lost crowds very easily due to tired kids.
- our room key stopped working multiple times which was a nuisance having to go to reception regularly to get a new one.
Whilst these were all small things, they took away from the 5* service. But overall we did have a great stay and would consider returning.

This is a five star hotel, but not in the way I would expect. More like a huge city with a whole bunch of appartments. Really huge. But there is no intimacy of five star hotels. Rooms are fine, cosy, terasses, long, long walk to the restaurant, pools, (we were the last room in one of the hotel wings).
Pools are great, for kids especially. Mini golf, tennis, bars, gym, beauty treatment, night club, party for kids with animation for kids and band for adults sitting next to kids playing around and enjoying drink, so a lot of activities.
The food us amazing. Plenty of everything really. Amazing. Next to restaurant is playgrojnd so you can eat and watch kids.
All in all nice place for famillies with kids.
If you want something more quiet haha don't come here, cause you will flip out.

We had a wonderful week long stay at GF Victoria with our family, including two children aged three and four.
The pool setup is excellent for families. The kids’ pool has toddler appropriate slides as well as bigger slides that older children and adults can enjoy. There is also another pool on the second floor which is deeper, with a very shallow, gently sloping entry that works perfectly for playing safely with younger toddlers.
Breakfast was outstanding. A fantastic buffet with fresh omelettes, pancakes, fruit juices, a wide selection of pastries, eggs cooked in various ways, sausages and much more. Easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had.
We ate at the Amaina Restaurant on two separate evenings and the food was delicious both times. The service was excellent, with very attentive staff who really made a fuss of the children, which made the experience even better.
The mini disco and evening entertainment were decent. I’ve seen better elsewhere, but the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, which made up for it. The kids’ club is very well run and our four year old absolutely loved it.
Facilities are a big highlight. Squash, padel, table tennis and tennis courts are all easy to book and use via the app. The mini golf could do with a revamp, but it’s still perfectly playable. The gym is exceptional for a hotel gym, genuinely one of the best I’ve seen. The spa looked amazing too, although we didn’t get a chance to use it this time.
The rooms are top class. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it feel spacious, with plenty of storage for a family of four. Everything was very clean and housekeeping were excellent throughout our stay.
Overall, this really is a top hotel and we would highly recommend it to families. We will definitely be back.

The best hotel for children we’ve been to in Europe, ideal for a family of 4. We’ve returned 5 times and will continue to. All of the children’s clubs are free, even for kids under 4. Special recommendation for the baby club activities, Mica and the team kept our little ones entertained whilst my husband and I had cocktails at the adult only pool - a real holiday! Thank you GF! We’ll be back for next half term

Our stay at GF Victoria Tenerife was absolutely fantastic. The property itself is stunning, with spacious, modern, and impeccably clean rooms. The balconies add a special charm, perfect for enjoying morning coffee and late evening drink.
The kids’ area and programs are great. Children are assigned kids area rooms according to their age, which is a real star feature! Parents can leave their kids in this safe and engaging environment, where the team is wonderful, giving you the chance to enjoy a peaceful afternoon, especially at the rooftop adults-only area, which is pure relaxation.
And the breakfast… it’s nothing short of spectacular, a genuine 7-star experience!
Highly recommend this property for families who want luxury, comfort, and a perfect balance between kid-friendly amenities and adult relaxation. will definitely visit again when we go Tenerife!
