Positive surprise this hotel. We were two weeks here. Only thing i cant tell about is food because we hadnt any. This area is full of restaurants and room had kitchenette so we wanted to eat different places everyday. Also right against hotel is Dino market. Cleanness was really good. Nothing to complain. Only proposal would be that also balcony floor and table could be cleaned at same when apartment is cleaned. There is coming some sand from air, but it was easy to clean by myself. 👍 Service was good all around hotel. You can also have transferring ordered by hotel nicely. Location is best thing in this hotel. Really near amazing nice beach and two other beaches also and all restaurants and bars and shops are in walking distance. I give tip: walk as far as you want and start shop jumping from there, there is little cheaper prices. Pools: big pool was warmed and get truly nice warm by the day. For me also smaller pool was good because i like cooler water. Another tip: keep your bathroom sink seawer closed when not using, you might get suprise visitor if not. 😅 I had forgetted to close it one night and i needed to kill one cockroach. But it was only time i saw cockroach in hotel for two week being there. Rooms: we had seaview apartment and must say that it was worth it. We enjoyed lots of amazing seaview and watching wawes from balcony wich had table and two chairs. Our room number was 303. Our companion did have 206 and it was even nicer because it was thru building having bedroom window also to the pool and they had bigger balcony and also sunlounge on it. I think this hotel is worth of its price. 👍

I booked a superior room, it was very spacious and had all the facilities needed for self catering. Nice touch of a bottle of water on arrival. When I first arrived the toilet flush was broken and the toilet constantly had water going into the bowl, I informed reception and within 5 minutes maintenance turned up and fixed it, great service. Reception was always very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is located a minutes walk of all the bars and restaurants. My balcony wasn't very big but enough for me to sit alone on it. It also got the sun all afternoon which was great. Only criticism is there is no Air con, wasn't a great hardship as it was cool in January in the evening. They do provide a fan, but for the size of room I don't think it would be enough in the warmer months. For that reason I would return here, but not in the hotter months

We stayed at Galeon Playa about five years ago and loved the place. Great rooms, clean, tidy and well set out. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Galeon Playa is situated in a good location, close to restaurants , shops and pubs. The only disappointment this time is how tired the building is looking. Paint is peeling off the walls and the building needs a refurbishment. Having said that I would still stay there again due to where it is situated.

Quo Vadis

My wife and I stayed here last week, in room 366. Firstly, the staff were excellent; they were always willing and ready to help and did so with a smile and great attitude so full marks there. The room itself was as others have said quite a good size, and I even found 4 English channels on the TV (BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV & Channel 4). However, the furniture was outdated and worn out, and there was no way we could control the temperature, which to be honest was not a problem at this time of year (January) but could be a real issue in the height of Summer. Air con is a must and it needs to be addressed. There was one more area of concern, and it has to do with the bedroom door. It is out of kilter with the frame, and looking at a crack in the wall, which is on both sides, it looks like subsidence. There are no prizes for guessing what is the cause - the very large building site right next door. When you consider that the bedroom is supported by two slender stilts it comes as no surprise there there is a real problem here, and it needs to be investigated as a matter of urgency.

Good location for restaurants and bars and not too far from airport. Swimming pool and Pool area was clean. Reception staff very nice and friendly. We did not have food at galeon playa as we were self catering so we went out for food. Only let down was that the bedding and towels smelt unclean even after room clean which is every 2 days. Bedding was itchy and caused small bites. Pillows need replacing because they are flat and didn't have good sleep well done for the entire week stay in superior room. For this reason I would not return.
