My husband and I recently stayed at Excellence Riviera Cancun for a much-needed getaway, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail made us feel completely relaxed and taken care of.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — spotless grounds, stunning pools, incredible beach views, and amazing food at every restaurant we tried. Being all-inclusive made everything so easy and stress-free, and the quality of both the food and drinks was outstanding.
A special shoutout to our waitress, Elizabeth. She was attentive the entire time, always anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. She remembered our preferences, checked on us frequently without ever being intrusive, and truly made us feel valued and welcomed. Her warm personality and exceptional service made our experience even more memorable.
We left feeling refreshed, spoiled, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and romantic escape!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Excellence Riviera Cancun and to say “5 stars” doesn’t seem enough of a rating.
From the moment we stepped out of the pre-arranged transfer with Seasons to the minute we left we were welcomed, spoiled and given a true luxury all inclusive experience at this property.
The rooms are older and a bit outdated in style and amenities but you will hardly notice. Beds were incredibly comfortable, showers were smoking hot and spacious with great pressure and we were lucky enough to enjoy a jr swim up suite that was perfect for lounging and relaxing outside our room.
Every restaurant or dining experience we had was great. I’d recommend the Italian restaurant OREGANO and the amazing breakfast/lunch buffet at the Kitchen Table.
Above all, the treatment and attentiveness we received from ALL the staff on the grounds was simply what put it over the top. Led by our amazing server by the room Elizabeth, everyone was happy, pleasant and going above and beyond whenever they could.
Thank you Excellence!! We’ll never go anywhere else.

The property is great! Super large, plenty of restaurants and bars, large and multiple pools! Unfortunately the food can be a little hit or miss but averages out to be very mid, nothing to write home about. The cocktails are extremely mediocre and the wine that’s available not for an additional charge is not good. If you like good food and drink then this place is not for you but it’s edible for sure! I enjoyed the planned activities and the staff were great and friendly! I had a swim up room, which was definitely a highlight and worth the upgrade. I would not go back because of the food situation but I could see why others may enjoy this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon a few days ago in the Imperial Excellence Club suite 8059. It was worth every penny! The staff here are so personable and attentive. We really loved our housekeeper Paula, she was the sweetest, and would tidy up our rooms every evening. Edgar, was our bartender since the very first night, he made great drinks and we always had fun conversation with him. Rosa Maria helped us with excursions, I was so impressed by how knowledgeable she was about so many different excursions that they offer, very detailed and I loved that she would meet us before the excursion pick up time to ensure everything went smoothly. Those were the ones who stood out to us the most but every staff member really went out of their way to ensure you were enjoying your stay! This resort definitely has more of a relaxed/romantic atmosphere they host trivia nights, live music, karaoke nights, etc. we really enjoyed the Dubai theme night with dj and belly dancers. While we were there they played the Super Bowl on a big screen and had a big “carne asada”, that was very cool! We really enjoyed our stay here, thank you Excellence!

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and it was just amazing!! The room was so nice and the bed was so cozy, and the workers come and make your bed/tidy up while you’re out enjoying the resort! The mini bar was so nice to have, and the pool and beach areas are so well maintained. Santos was working serving drinks most of the days we were down there and he was so friendly and attentive! Tomas was working and Carlos (based on his name tag) was training at the swim up bar and we loved talking with them, and they made us all sorts of fun drinks/shots. The food was delicious (specifically Spice and Food Shark), and the room service option was so nice especially when we first got in and just wanted to relax in our room. Truthfully if you’re looking for a nice, relaxing, clean, and beautiful resort this is absolutely the way to go. It was our first time in Mexico and I’m not sure if we’ll ever stay anywhere other than the Excellence chain!
