We had a really good time in this hotel. The staff is one of the nicest we ever had in any hotel. Big thank you for one of the managers for helping us with renting a car when nothing was available! All inclusive was offering variety of food and drinks everyday. Spa and massage was amazing! Cleaning was done everyday, even when we were in the room the lady was asking if we want fresh towels, drinks or cosmetics. Highly recommend this hotel! Room 897 Thank you

If you’re younger, I would not recommend this hotel at all. Average age is 70+, so prepare to get stared at and be made to feel uncomfortable if you’re a female. The staff was nice enough, but the worst part of our stay was getting ripped off. We accidentally put the wrong number of guests on our reservation, which was an honest mistake. And when all we needed was to pay for an additional person for our additional wristband, we got charged 3x the amount we would have paid initially per person. When we asked for clarification, they just simply said we are paying a different rate, even though we booked directly through the website. The room was pretty decent, but our fridge basically didn’t work at all and they only gave us a couple of drinks per day in it (which never got cold). We were excited about the restaurants, but only managed to get into one during the entire week. We were turned away numerous times because they were “all full” and after getting tired of the buffet food , we eventually just paid for food elsewhere. The restaurants also are only open on certain days. The “late night buffet” is an absolute joke. Gross cold bread and some cheese slices is all it is. The exact same as the “early morning breakfast”. The shows were mediocre at best. Beautiful hotel otherwise, but would not recommend staying again unless you’re older and don’t mind buffet food every day.

Beautiful hotel, TOP NOTCH STAFF from the restaurant staff to the staff at the bars, the House Keeping Staff and the staff at the Spa and the staff at Kids Club are beyond amazing. We had an amazing holiday and so sad to leave this place. Keep it up everyone, I truly cannot sing your praises enough. The food so delicious and I love the choices of drinks served. It is a definite return in the future for us. Obrigado!

Lovely hotel with modern decor and fab plants and fish to look at. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very attentive staff and I really appreciated flowers from the cleaners on my birthday ❤️. The themed evenings in the different restaurants were really brilliant and the food was superb. The walk back from the centre of Funchal is quite a hilly climb. There is a bus stop near the hotel but they do get busy in the peak periods and get packed with standing room along the bus. Beautiful island with stunning scenery.

Very nice hotel, good rooms with sea view. Very good service from friendly staff. Good selection of food in main restaurant, and choice of other eateries. Negatives are main restaurant is a bit like a large works canteen, and speciality dining is very limited .
