Had a lovely stay over Christmas. The hotel is spotless and the staff are all so friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is perfect for walks along the coast and the views of the ocean from the hotel are stunning. Rooms are a good size and cleaned daily with amazing views of the hotel and ocean. You get reusable bottles to fill up with water at various stations around the hotel which reduces plastic waste. Food was really good with lots of choice and plenty to drink. We will return again next Christmas.

We have just returned from a fabulous 4 week holiday at the Enotel Lido Madeira and can't rate it highly enough. The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing, the beachfront promenade and for walking into Funchal. We had an amazing suite which overlooked both the swimming pool and the seafront with a very large terrace which had sun loungers, parasol and table and chairs so everything we could need was on hand!
The staff at the hotel are brilliant which I have to say is a credit to the manager Snr Adalberto Dinis. Adalberto takes great care of his guests personally and he is always on hand in the restaurants and bars throughout the day ensuring guests are being looked after! The food in all of the restaurants is first class with an exceptional array of dishes. The staff in the bars and restaurants are very friendly with a special mention to Roberto, Marianna and Fabio. They Buffet Restaurant staff are so attentive that after a few days they know which drinks you have and serve them to you before you order..brilliant!!
We had a wonderful holiday and will return hence the 5 stars.
One little suggestion tho would be to introduce an App to allow booking of the A La Carte restaurants instead of the "first come, first served" as it is currently. This would prevent the need to queue outside waiting for the restaurants to open as they are very popular, especially the Asian! It would also ensure guests on shorter stays would get the opportunity to enjoy the experiences.

Excellent hotel ! We just stayed there for a week all inclusive and this hotel gave us a free upgrade to a full sea facing room, the food choices were just superb even as vegetarians. The rooms were kept spotless my the cleaners. The hotel staff always went the extra mile to fulfil our requirements such as getting us full fat milk for our little one and ordering vegetarian burgers for us. Ana at the Atlantico restaurant was very good at taking care of us. The lunch buffet at vela di Canale restaurant was excellent, particular the fact that they offer a make your own pizza. Special mention to Hose who works there and was very kind and helpful. The entertainment programme was brilliant, particularly the magic show (fabulous) and the live music every evening near the reception. The kids club is simply superb as it offered lots of choice to our 4 year old. He loved the trampoline and the bouncy castle and also the various activities they have on every day. The staff there are so enthusiastic and really are an asset to the hotel, particularly Leonor who was so caring.
Overall we loved our stay at this excellent hotel and would highly recommend it.

Had a great stay at Enotel Lido. Staff across reception, restaurants, entertainment, and housekeeping were consistently helpful and upbeat.
The hotel and rooms were very clean. My room did have a couple of issues, such as leaking shower and a non-working TV, but everything else was solid.
We went all-inclusive, and the food and drink range was broad. Familiar options, international dishes, and Madeiran choices. There were vegetarian options throughout the day and evening, plus a dedicated gluten-free area at breakfast.
The gym was clean and well equipped (spin bike, weights, treadmill, etc). The spa massage was worth it and genuinely relaxing. Pools were clean and well maintained. Daily entertainment and evening shows added value.
Location is excellent. Exit on the 6th floor, turn right, and it’s a 30-minute walk to central Funchal or a short bus ride. Exit via the 1st-floor back gate for sweeping ocean and mountain views.
The snack bar and main restaurant offer both indoor and outdoor seating.
The room comes with body wash, shampoo and body lotion, plugged in hairdryer (not ideal for thick or coarse hair) and ac. It also comes with slippers for the spa. The rooms are cleaned daily, and you get fresh towels, you can request for your room to not be cleaned.
There was foosball, snooker, darts to play in the hotel and a kids club.
For anyone with limited mobility looking for winter sun, the hotel is easy to navigate, mostly flat, and supported by attentive staff and all-inclusive convenience.
It could get a little loud in the indoor eating areas, and when they have entertainment on, which is to be expected, but you’ve other options to relax at not be in the brunt of the noise if you’ve sensory issues while being present and nearby, the lighting is also low in the outdoor eating areas.
Felt safe walking about the hotel at night too.
Literally, been to five hotels in Funchal and this is my favourite.
I’ve already recommended it to friends and family.

We had a fantastic week in Madeira for half term at this great hotel. We had a family room for four and were very comfortable tbere. The beds are lovely and the black out curtains make for a great night sleep.
The quality of the food was outstanding, and the waiting staff were very welcoming and good fun. There was literally no point eating out for us, as there were so many high quality options within the hotel.
We had lovely cocktails in the piano bar overlooking the ocean most evenings, what a view!
We enjoyed the toboggan, cable car, Ronaldo musuem and whale watching trips all easily accessible via the Bolt taxi app.
We would definitely return, and we were devastated to be leaving!
