We stayed at Domes Noruz Chania the end of September for 10 days and it was the perfect retreat from start to finish.
All of the staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, attentive and couldn’t have done more for us. They really made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay.
My boyfriend and I are into our fitness and the gym facilities were excellent, one of the best we’ve seen at a hotel. He also used the sauna every day and loved it! The whole hotel had such a relaxed easygoing vibe, no stress about getting sunbeds or queues at breakfast.
The location is perfect too, right on the beach and within walking distance to lots of lovely restaurants and spots to explore.
A really special touch was on my boyfriend’s birthday, while we were out the team surprised us with a cake and a bottle in the room.
Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations- beautiful surroundings, amazing service and a wonderful atmosphere that made it feel truly special. We left feeling completely recharged and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Our honeymoon began at Domes Noruz Chania, and it set the bar high for every stop in Greece that followed. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond—there was a chocolate bombe cake and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting in our room, a thoughtful surprise that made us feel instantly celebrated.
We’d booked through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts and were upgraded to a beautiful room, and they honored our late checkout with no fuss. Breakfast each morning exceeded expectations, with a generous spread that included fresh juices, teas, and espresso drinks, a honeycomb block for drizzling, flaky pastries, perfectly poached eggs, fresh fruit, and rotating sides that kept things fresh and interesting throughout our stay.
The service at dinner was equally polished, complemented by peaceful live acoustic music. One entrée arrived comically small—a lone chicken breast, some sauce, and a single broccoli stalk—but the team handled it graciously, offering dessert and champagne on the house.
Between the spotless private beach, excellent towel service, and two distinct pools—one serene, one upbeat with electronic music—there was a spot for every mood. Drinks were creative and fairly priced, especially during happy hour.
We also visited the spa, where the staff was warm, attentive, and clearly skilled at what they do. The treatments themselves were excellent, though a few of the spa amenities could use some fine-tuning. The warm-water pool and sauna were pleasant but not as powerful or hot as expected—the sauna hovered around 50°C, some of the jets in the pool weren’t working, and the steam room never fully heated up. Still, the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the staff’s professionalism made it a worthwhile experience.
More than anything, what made our stay special was the staff. They were kind, thoughtful, and very attentive. After the whirlwind of our wedding, Domes Noruz gave us exactly what we needed: a place to relax. It was the perfect start to our honeymoon and a resort we’ll remember for its kindness as much as its beauty.

I spent 10 unforgettable days at the Domes Noruz Hotel in Chania, and I can honestly say—it exceeded every expectation. From the very first moment, I was struck by how immaculately maintained the entire property is. Everything is in tip-top shape—spotlessly clean, elegant, and radiating that refined sense of effortless luxury that only a truly well-run resort can deliver.
The staff deserves special mention: they are attentive, warm, and genuinely caring without ever being intrusive. Every interaction felt natural, professional, and filled with genuine hospitality. This is relaxed luxury at its finest—you feel pampered yet completely at ease.
The pools are absolutely divine: one with a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere and music, and the other a tranquil oasis of calm—perfect for quiet moments under the sun. The gym is excellent, offering both indoor and outdoor workout zones that make training an absolute pleasure.
And then, the beach… what a dream! Soft, golden sand and crystal-clear, shallow waters that invite you in no matter what kind of swimmer you are. It’s the kind of place where time stops, and all you can do is breathe, relax, and let the serenity of the sea wash over you.
Domes Noruz isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience of refined taste, effortless comfort, and genuine joy. Every detail is thought through, every corner exudes quality and care. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet relaxed escape in Crete, this is the place to go.
I’m already dreaming of coming back!

I booked this via the Amex Platinum. I was very happy to get an upgraded room with a beautiful beach view and a massive private pool. The pool was heated but still a little chilly in October because of the outside temperature. Service was phenomenal as I was able to what's app message and get my car and any other requests. The food at the resort was also very good and they have a gym and spa. Access to the sauna, steam room and indoor pool are included with a reservation. I would recommend if you're in a hurry to tell your waiter, otherwise lunch or dinner can take some time. Also there is a cooking class nearby (15 min drive) that is wonderful called Chania cooking class Crete.

Had a wonderful honeymoon experience here. Nothing short (with small exceptions below) of excellent service. The food was the highlight at the half board package. Topos restaurant for breakfast and afternoon meals was easily some of the best food we had on our trip. Our welcome to our room was spectacular with balloons, cards, rose petals, sparkling wine, and a chocolate cake. Staff are great. Lovely beach. Free valet. They acknowledged our direct booking with welcome gift and departure gift. Loved that it was adults only. We used the laundry service and it went as advertised. Concierge let us make a long distance call for free from reception.
Any room for improvement? I would say some minor things. There wasn't an acknowledgment of our Marriot status to the extent that matters, but late checkout was offered although no upgrade. Also, there was a mixup with concierge on WhatsApp not communicating our dinner reservation cancellation to the on-site restaurant which seems like a bit of a communications failure.... which led to some embarrassment when we were chastised for being "no show" next time came for dinner. Awkward. We were told by one staffer that laundry can be covered by resort credit but on checkout firmly told that was wrong. Finally, they can't really fix this but the design of the room with sink outside the bathroom is odd.
