Fantastic resort with lush landscaping, beautiful views, plenty of activities, tons of restaurants and food choices, close to the park where you can boat/bus/tram over, on the water, and plenty of space around the resort and in the rooms! Would definitely go back!

Gorgeous. Comfortable lobby.
The gingerbread house is still under construction. Sadly for us. We love their Gingerbread best but it was too soon to purchase shingles or Mickey Mouse heads.
Clean in all areas. Band moved. Give a listen to them and Piano Man.

We came to Disney as a group of 6 families and friends. Everything was going good until a security guard at the Grand Floridian station of the monorail ruined my whole trip. I was walking with my 3 year old daughter waiting to go through the metal detectors when one of guards very politely told me we could walk through. A second guard on the other side of the metal detectors was waiving me through. There was a third guard named Roland from Orlando that was searching a young ladies purse just before the metal detector and when I got close he jumped in front of me and very aggressively demanded that we stop. My daughter was terrified!! I wasn't sure what was going on so I said "I'm sorry your partner told me to go on through" he then very loudly told me to go to the back of the line. Everyone that was there except the young girl having her purse searched was with our group. We weren't in any kind of hurry, there was only our group and a few other people and the monorail was no where in sight. The rest of our wait for the monorail this guard named Roland stared at me with dirty looks and made our whole group uncomfortable. The two other security guards with him seemed very embarrassed at his actions as well. I looked online for a number that I could call to make a formal complaint but didn't find anything. I am a big guy and had 6 other big guys with me and we don't get easily offended but this guy made us all uncomfortable. I tried to shake it off for the rest of the day but every time my daughter saw a Disney security guard she got really scared and hid behind me. 3 of the 6 families that were with us packed up that night and left!!!! This security guard had no reason to act like that and ruin the Disney fantasy for a 3 year old . We are Florida residents and go to Disney 3-4 times a year. On this particular trip We spent over 8 thousand dollars and we're still planning another trip in December for the Christmas festivities. Now that my daughter is terrified of of this Disney rent a cop I guess we'll be going to universal!!!!!
