Magical stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Our experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge was nothing short of amazing! The interior design is absolutely stunning — from the grand lobby to the beautiful African-inspired details throughout the resort. It truly feels like you’re stepping into another world.
Waking up to views of giraffes and zebras right outside our window was unforgettable. The atmosphere is peaceful, immersive, and perfect for families or couples looking for something unique.
The food was okay — not the highlight, but still enjoyable. The real star of the stay was the overall experience, the incredible ambiance, and the thoughtful Disney touches everywhere.
We’d absolutely return — highly recommended!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers an unparalleled immersive experience, truly transporting guests to the heart of Africa. The sprawling lobby, with its towering ceilings and rich African artwork, is breathtaking and immediately sets the tone for a unique stay. The undeniable highlight, of course, is the opportunity to view a variety of live African animals – including giraffes, zebras, and impalas – directly from the resort's savannas, many rooms, and public viewing areas. Dining at the Lodge is exceptional, with fan-favorites like Boma and Sanaa offering delectable African-inspired cuisine and unforgettable ambiance, especially Sanaa's bread service. The Uzima Springs and Samawati Springs pools are impressive, offering ample space for relaxation and fun with their slides and water play areas. Beyond the animals and pools, the resort boasts a rich array of cultural activities and the largest collection of African art outside of Africa, inviting exploration around every corner. While its location is somewhat more secluded, relying solely on bus transportation to the parks, the sheer thematic brilliance and unique animal encounters more than compensate. It's a resort where you can truly slow down and embrace the magic, making it a perfect choice for those who prioritize the resort experience. Overall, Animal Kingdom Lodge stands out as one of Walt Disney World's most uniquely themed and memorable deluxe resorts.

We had a fantastic stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge Boma House. We requested to be near the lobby and that was accommodated! We were just steps away which I think really made the trip easier. The lobby is massive and impressive in scale. Every inch of this hotel is not overlooked. You can tell a lot of love went into designing this hotel. Even elevator light covers matched the theme.
The rooms were impeccably clean and housekeeping came every day to sweep, refresh towels and make beds. The room had many storage areas for suitcases (space under beds), nooks and shelves. This really helped when you fit a family including your teens into one room. We had a Savannah view and despite the heat my daughter loved staying out on the patio reading or braiding her hair while watching animals. It was very special and memorable. There were enough machines for us to do laundry while we ate breakfast at Boma.
The staff were so kind. Everyone we met went above and beyond. We had previously stayed at an offsite hotel visiting family, and the Disney difference is evident as soon as you arrived. I wish every service brand took customer service as seriously as Disney does.
We ate at Boma which is great and they stayed on top of drink refills, nothing ever was empty. Mara could have a bit of a wait at the end of the night so I would preorder an hour ahead of time if I knew better. The bar was very relaxing at the end of a busy day. We enjoyed sitting there while our teens ate their Mara fries and watched tv in the room. The bartenders made great manhattans for us a few times for our night cap.
Busses are what they are. It’s a big busy hotel. They came super fast when we were leaving the hotel, but they were always full when going back to the hotel so expect to stand.
Thanks for a great stay! I recommend this hotel to others.

I'm not even a Disney fan, but this place was amazing! Extremely well decorated, impeccably clean, unbelievably friendly and knowledgeable staff. Don't skimp, pay the extra for the savanna side room with club access. Great food, snacks, and drinks. The hours aren't exactly helpful if you're spending all day in the park, but you can definitely get breakfast every day (which was awesome!).

This was out second stay. The first we had a standard room and had a pretty good view of the savanna. Animals slept outside our balcony. It was great. The second stay we upgraded to a actual savanna view and got a room with a worse view and hardly any animals. Overall, it was a fine visit, but their rooms should be graded differently.
