Don't let the star rating fool you, tremendous value to be had here.
It's in a great location and our apartment was very nice and comfortable.
There's doing some work which will no doubt improve the star rating over time.
The location is ideal, the food is okay but not spectacular but all things considered good value all round.
Free WiFi in the communal areas but you have to pay for WiFi in the room.
Due to this I had to speak with the wife. She seems nice 🙂

Totally disappointed with the apartment I got. I had booked a two week holiday and I couldn't wait to leave. 14th floor, everything old inside, doors and windows nothing airtight I felt the wind very strongly as if I were outside, nothing comfortable except the bed mattress, horrible smell inside, shower tray broken and glued, a very narrow space, no facilities in the kitchen, not even a hairdryer. For accommodation zero stars. Food, the same type of food that after 2 days you don't want to eat anymore, nothing diversified even at Christmas. I will definitely not go to this hotel again. But I want to appreciate two people in particular and these types of people deserve to be promoted and rewarded Esperanza the lady who took care of cleaning in our apartment, an extraordinary person, friendly, respectful, she didn't speak English but I understood what she was saying, thank you Esperanza and Eduardo a boy from the dining room that I noticed throughout my stay there, very active in the kitchen, friendly, very good interaction with customers and his colleagues and with a beautiful smile on his face, thank you Eduardo for your activity. So dear Corona Roja you have many things to improve there starting from the accomodation, food, staff...etc

Dont listen or take any heed of the negative reviews! This place is brilliant. You're not paying for 5* you're not getting 5*. What you are getting is a great base to go explore the area. You're getting clean rooms, serviced every day. They are mostly outdated, but are comfortable and have what you need. If all you're concerned about is a fancy room on your holiday, you're not doing your holiday properly! There are 3 elevators that all worked while we stayed. 1 is slow, the other 2 are quicker. The pool area is clean and plenty of sun beds. The pool itself is a welcome refresher after lying in the sun for a while!
The all inclusive food is adequate. You won't starve. It's a bit repetitive at lunches, but there is always 2/3 additional different choices as well as the usual hotdogs, pizza, burgers and chips. They serve local dishes alongside the "safe" options British folk seem to miss when they go abroad 🤣
The bar staff are good. Jose is brilliant! He's got some craic about him. A couple others are a bit more reserved shall we say! Julia at the front desk checked us in and she was lovely and helpful too. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the beach, literally. It's maybe a 20 minute stroll along the promenade walkway to the bustling area of stalls and shops, with plenty of restaurants along the way. At night the surrounding area is quiet, the occasional song can be heard from hotels across the way. I would absolutely come back here in a heartbeat! Book this place expecting a clean, comfortable stay with nice staff and delicious (albeit repetitive) food.

Great value for money but in all honesty. Unless your guzzling down the all inclusive booze it's not worth it.
Our room was awful. The beds were hard and rickety and as a couple we were given 2 singles and the hotel was fully booked.
It was sold as a deluxe studio but it had woodchip walls, broken floor tiles. All the painting needed re-doing. Plug sockets hanging off walls and cockroaches running about. We also had an odd smell from the drains and no aircon.
Our room was near to the service area and cleaners could be heard early in the morning making noise.
The food was all cooked in large vats and was neither hot nor appetising..we ate out most nights. The chairs in the bar were plastic and tired. Everything needed a good clean and a tidy up with a paint brush.
But Kay on the bar was lovely and like I said it was very good value for the money. Just not the best for overall quality.

Right so I thought I would leave an honest balanced review of our week stay here. All too often you read reviews who seem harsh and people sometimes try and expect a 5* experience while paying 3* money.
When booking I thought I'd booked 3* but it turns out it was 2* something I'd never experienced before. So I was a bit worried about what we were walking into.
When we arrived got to reception the staff member seemed friendly and signed us in. It seemed clean but a little bit tatty in places. We were on the third floor and our room was clean tidy spacious fairly modern but with one or two imperfections. The beds were comfortable enough. We have a balcony looking out onto the street which was big enough and comfortable enough.
The meals well breakfast was ok you had sausages scrambled egg beans as well as continental stuff fruit juices teas and coffee all delivered by machine. Not the best breakfast you would hope for but eatable and a ok start to the day.
Lunch for me was the best meal of the day with basic stuff for some of hamburgers and hotdogs plus more continental choices from pizza stews and other foods. There was also a range of salads all different and creative. Fruit also was on offer.
Evening meal probably the worst of all three in our opinion not great and didn't really make me want to make that my choice so we are out for this more than stayed in. Could be better.
Drinks house drinks were on offer for all inclusive local bears local spirits and cocktails delivered via a machine there were a bit too syrup like but they were doable.
The pool area and sunbathing area also ok alot of sub loungers which were placed to attract the sun and a pool which was clean it was not used that much but it was fine.
The atmosphere in the hotel was quite quiet not full of fun but most people just do their own thing . So there was no entertainment however on the price you don't pay for it.
Staff were great rooms were clean a specific number of times a week all which is great within the price budget.
So overall a good experience especially for the price I paid flights a week all inclusive board for under 1k seems a steal to me so we were happy with it.
Don't come here expecting the world as you haven't paid it . It would be good for families on a budget who want to get away but don't have a bottomless pit of money then location is great with the beach a couple minutes away a bus service which takes you around the island and to many tourist areas and towns. Close to the Irish bars and the kasbah centre and all the other entertainment areas are easy to get to via bus or taxi at a rate of a few Euros. The cita centre and yumbo centre are 5 to 6 euros in a taxi on the bus it's 1.40.
The beach is fine with designated areas for designated tastes.
Family beaches naturist beaches gay beaches so if your on the prude side or have kids you many need to watch where your walking to.
