Great location with 4 pools and villas with well stocked kitchens. The restaurants on site are a great plus although I wish there were vegan options. Casa Azul was a great restaurant for an evening where no one would deliver and the pizza was great. Would definitely stay again with our larger family.

Decent place to stay in items of location. Good rooms however the check in check out times are absurd. Arrived after a long flight around 12 noon only to be told can’t check in for another 5 hours at 5pm. Very disappointing. And the checkout is at 10am which seems way too early.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Clube Albufeira. The apartment was a very decent size for 5 people. 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed all made for us when we arrived. One of the bedrooms had an en suite which meant we all did not have to share one bathroom.
Lots of choice at the resort between pools, restaurants and activities (mini golf, football field etc.)
There is a mini market on site that does fresh bread every morning which was lovely. We did our own breakfast in the apartment as it’s very easy to cook for yourself.
A bit outside Old Town but taxi only cost €5.
We really enjoyed the restaurant Casa Azul on site. Food was delicious, service was great. Pablo (head manager) was so accommodating. He managed to squeeze us in the first night we arrived even though we did not have a booking and it was very busy. We went another 2 nights during our stay as it was so good.
Overall, I know this place gets some negative reviews, but we found to have a very enjoyable and pleasant time.

Been going here for years and never had a bad holiday, best of all worlds. Not far from the old town but far enough away for peace and quiet at night. Great pools and restaurants on site

We stayed here from August 15th for 10 nights. On arrival, we were told we could use the pools until check-in, which was a nice touch.
Unfortunately, when we finally checked in, the apartment was nothing like what we expected. It was dirty and unhygienic — food residue and mold in the fridge, stains on the walls, and generally grimy. The wardrobes were covered in thick dust and clearly hadn’t been wiped down in a very long time. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and instead of a proper double bed, there were two completely separate single beds. The air conditioning barely worked. Housekeeping did come in, but never did a proper clean.
The biggest disappointment was the attitude of the staff at reception and in the restaurants. They were dismissive and unhelpful, often telling us to wait days for the manager to resolve things. At one point, we were told the manager wasn’t available until Monday, only to find out later she had been on site all along. Restaurant service was also very slow (40 minutes for two toasties on the first day), and the staff were rude on several occasions.
That said, when we finally met with the manager, she was absolutely amazing. She listened to our concerns, apologized sincerely, and upgraded us to a much nicer apartment for the last four nights of our stay, with complimentary breakfast included. The new apartment was beautiful and showed what the standard should be.
We still had to spend six nights in a dirty, uncomfortable apartment, which really put a damper on our holiday, but we are grateful to the manager for going out of her way to try and make things right.
A few notes for others:
• The complex is very large — if your apartment isn’t poolside, expect a fair bit of walking. We knew this beforehand, but some might find it inconvenient.
• The pools and grounds are nice, but the overall service and upkeep in the apartments can be very hit-and-miss.
In summary, this was a disappointing stay overall, saved only by the professionalism and kindness of the manager in the final days.
