Great hotel for the price. Breakfast is the one thing that let's this hotel down its just basic. Location is excellent just far enough away from all the noise and load music. The service is great and a big shout out to Brad his is a true gentleman and never stops, but all the staff are amazing and work hard and long hour's.

We are on Day 5 of our stay at Club Viva. I like to be fair and give every place a chance by not rushing in to review them until I feel I have had a good overall experience. I took videos and photos ( struggled to upload!) of the hotel room to capture my overall impression: Reception: We arrived in the early hours and a gentleman greeted us and took our suitcases in for us.Reception was small and very hot with no air conditioning. The seating area had dated furniture. The back sliding doors lead straight into the pool area. I had a feeling the pool would be small from the photos but didn’t how small even in the dark we could see it wasn’t much of a pool. The member of staff on reception checked us in as we were escorted to our room by the gentleman who helped us with our suitcases. We were given only 1 key pass! As a family we had to insist that this was unacceptable and eventually the next day we were given another key pass. Room on level 4: two rooms with twin beds in each room. Spacious and overall looked presentable. The pillows are flat and lack shape and structure to support your head for a good night rest. The bed is hard and not very comfortable. A thin waffle style bed sheet given instead of something a bit more substantial and comfortable. My children took and instant dislike to them. There was dust on the headboard in the second bedroom. We were expecting a double bed in this room but had to make do with what we were given. I didn’t sleep well for the length of time I’ve been here so far. Bathroom: I was amazed at the state the shower cubicle!! It had hair stuck on the sliding doors and it had terrible water marks and what looked like conditioner/ shampoo dried and stuck on. The shower screen did not look like it had been scrubbed or cleaned in many many weeks!!! The taps on both the sink and shower were encrusted with what looks like limescale. The floor in the shower room was dirty! The floor towel was absolutely disgusting and it looked like it needed to be thrown out! Because of this we always wore our flip flops when we showered! I don’t think the owner (who I found out is a heart surgeon!) of this hotel is too concerned about what impression his customers are forming when they come to Club Viva! This must scale down to the cleaning staff because they obviously don’t care that the rooms are dirty. I mentioned this to the staff next morning and the gentleman at the desk assured me that it will be cleaned. I can’t understand why it was not clean to begin with???? All the cleaning lady did was change the towels but did no cleaning! Throughout the week, the handwash pump had finished and when I asked the cleaning lady if she could top it up, she refused and simply shook her head!! The breakfast: they offered only bed and breakfast here. It was the usual and boring but it’s something you can make do with. One of the days the electricity went off early morning. We woke up to no air conditioning and no lighting. The bedroom may get natural light to compensate but the bathroom area was pitch black when you shut the door to use it! We ate cold breakfast that morning; cold beans, cold sausages etc. And no apologies! Be prepared to pay for anything that you would normally expect. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I’d class it as 3star! The poor hygiene and cleanliness. Get your own handwash gel, even get a sponge/ scourer to clean your taps and shower area. Take your own iron. Bring your own beach towels, otherwise you have to hire them for the length of time you’re here. Overall my whole experience of Marmaris, the hospitality staff in this busy tourist site is that only a few Turkish people are genuinely nice hospitable people. Generally, for the rest of those I encountered I found to be very rude, arrogant and look at you as though you are a walking talking purse to empty. They do not have a clue how to treat their guests, especially when you’re not happy for lack of service. If you’re not being ripped off buying fakes, then they keep you waiting for your food orders with no apologies.

We are 3 person which is 2 doctor and 1 paramedic friends came here for a triple room. We could only stay for 2 days, then we compulsory moved ourselves to a different hotel with the same price. The reason why because air conditioner is nerfed by hotel owner. even though we set to the 18 celcius, it was 27. Also filter of air conditioner should be cleaned in order to prevent transmission of disease such as legionella pneumonia.(as we heard that owner is a doctor and reception should give preventative medicine without money) Breakfeast quality sucks. AS YOU UNDERSTAND WE WOULD NEVER COME AGAIN. YOU SHOULD FIND CHEAPER and MORE QUALIFIED hotel along the side of coast.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent staff. Food was better than expected. Good sized room. Clean and tidy hotel. Bit of entertainment on an evening. Pool closed a bit early. Only real drawback is the hotel is right next to a mosque and the call to prayer was deafening. Woke us up before sunrise every morning and was very unpleasant during the day.

The hotel is not as bad as some of these reviews! However it’s far from perfect. There are pro’s and cons, not awful but wouldn’t come back here. Cons: -The drinks at the bar at watered down and not very nice. - The breakfast is very basic, no taste, no bacon, sausage etc. the lunch and dinner is ok, some days are better than others and can have a mixture. - The pool area is very slippy and people have been slipping/ injuring themselves. - The entertainment is poor. - The cleaners didn’t always clean the rooms properly and didn’t leave us clean towels. Pro’s: - Nice staff, helpful and polite. - Good location
