The hotel staff is not customer-oriented. We arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m., and at reception we were promised that we would be checked in at 11 a.m., and that they would call us when our room was ready. Nobody ever called us. We waited until 2 p.m. and only then were checked in. Official check-in is from 2 p.m., and we don’t mind that, but if they had clearly told us there was no possibility to check in earlier, we would have planned our time differently instead of waiting for a call from reception, as they had promised.
The hotel is old; when you walk through the corridor you can smell the age.
There is no kettle in the room, no cups for tea, no coffee, tea, or sugar. We had to take a kettle for a €15 deposit.
This hotel does not meet 4-star standards in any way. I would rate it 3 stars at most. The staff is insincere – they say one thing with a smile and then don’t follow through.
The restaurant with a terrace, which was supposed to have a wonderful sea view, instead had the terrace closed in the morning with old yellow mesh blinds. So instead of enjoying the sea view, you just sit facing those shabby blinds.
Our room had a partial sea view, but the hotel is located extremely close to another one (about 10 meters away), so all we saw from the balcony were people on the balconies of the neighboring hotel.
One positive aspect of this hotel is its proximity to the sea.
I do not recommend this hotel, as the price does not match the quality.

We recently stayed at CM Castell de Mar and, as returning guests, we were really looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing compared to our previous experience.
Although we had contacted the hotel in advance and received a kind and professional reply from the team, the follow-up on arrival was not as expected, communication seemed disconnected, and the service felt impersonal. The room we received was very noisy, located right above the reception and near the bus stops where tourist buses arrive and leave frequently. In addition, the balcony door doesn’t close tightly! it only seals in the middle, while the sides remain slightly open, which lets in noise from outside even at night. The bathroom had a strong chemical smell and visible mold, and the towels were worn and had holes.
When we shared our feedback, the response we received felt generic and focused on “next time,” which was frustrating since we were still staying at the hotel.
On a positive note, the food is excellent, and we truly appreciate that some meat options are halal. However, it’s confusing that while all other labels are written in English, German, and Spanish, the word halal appears only in Arabic, which isn’t helpful for guests who don’t read Arabic.
Overall, it’s disappointing to see a hotel with such potential and a great restaurant lose its personal touch and attention to detail. With more genuine care for guest feedback and better maintenance, Castell de Mar could easily return to being one of the best hotels in Cala Millor.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a sea view room on 10th floor, it was great and sun rise was breathtaking! Clean and comfortable.
Location is great, you have the beach right in front, and shopping street right behind. There was a party at the beach on the first night we arrived (Sat)till 11:30 pm, but we found the noise ok, and once closed the window/door, we don’t hear much.
Food was surprisingly great, we got half pension. if I recall right, roughly 10 euro more per person per night, so we did not expect much, but both breakfast and dinner are great! Taste nice and great varieties of choice. We arrived late first night, and they keep refilling and we find them still fresh. Omelette at breakfast is really great, one of the best I had, and paella is super good!!
Staff are friendly and always helpful.
Parking, they have only 4 private parking, we could reserve one for 10 euro per day, and we found it worthy and very convenient.
We would definitely happy to come back and we recommend it!

We arrived at the hotel after a night flight with a small hypoallergenic dog. On Google it was clearly stated that pets are allowed, but upon arrival it turned out that dogs are not permitted. We were immediately asked to leave the hotel. The hotel’s argument was that they are not responsible for the information published on Google about their property.
We received neither an apology nor any compensation, even though we were forced to book another hotel at short notice and incur additional costs. For me, such an attitude is absolutely not customer-oriented and very disappointing. To be treated this way after a long journey was extremely unpleasant.

Amazing hotel with beautiful view!
Great as well for female solo travellers. Good evening program / shows. Wonderful pool! I really appreciated that no one reserved sunbeds.
The spa was almost empty after 18:00 as kids are only allowed until 18:00, but it’s open until 22:00. Nice inside whirlpool, pool, sauna & hammam (the hammam could use some aetheric oim though ;)). Also the gym was good and I had it for myself.
Also for vegan & gluten free food the hotel is great and they give their best to make you happy! I only had breakfast, so I got 2 sheets with food on that I could choose from (1 vegan menu, 1 glutenfree menu), as well everything is marked at the buffet. There were plenty of vegetables, fruits, soy-yoghurt, plant based milks, many fruit juices - really great variety!
And I enjoyed that it was possible to sit outside at the breakfast.
I can highly recommend this hotel - it’s wonderful with all the palmtrees and view on the turquose ocean! 🌴 Gracias!
