We are a party of 8 and we leave this afternoon. Rooms 126, 123, 122 & 116 on the side where bins get cleared at 5.40am -6.00am, deliveries arrive at 8.00am, noise is absolutely dreadful at these times. Rooms are basis to say the least & need a major update. Bottled water was left in one of our rooms but not at anytime in any of the other rooms. Cupboard leading to fridge scrapes along the floor to get it open, settee needs cleaned & replaced , furniture in general needs a overhaul, bathroom mirror needs replaced, toilet seat too small for toilet, stopper in the sink was broke & plughole was stinking, definitely needs a good bleach clean, shower cubicle needs a good scrub, towel rail needs replaced, insects came from every corner at nights in the bathroom. We had to ask for a kettle for the room, ironing facilities we had to put down a deposit. Beds where comfortable but more pillows are needed, (my husband used the quilt which was in the cupboard). Poolside was ok, but still the same scenario with towels all day on beds and no one on them, clear signage explains the do's & dont's. Wifi connection came and went, couldnt get connection in the room, ehen you where at poolside it went off /on. Outside eating area is ok if the pigeons leave you alone, inside small and too warm. Variety of food is just ok, there is something for everyone depending on what you like, i stuck with porridge & tinned fruit, salad, fish all week which was on offer. There is also a selection of hot food too. We paid for all inclusive which when we went up for food at times there was very little left and if you asked for more they begrudgingly gave you it. My understanding of all inclusive is a continous run of drinks which you got with your 1 euro cup that you had to keep, (and take back and forward to where you went) getting it replaced with a clean one each time, food that is there for you through the day not just set times, really wasn't the case. Staff in general where very nice but there is 1 or 2 that could do with some training in the hospitality business. Entertainment was shocking, the guy was lovely, very friendly but a quiz for 3 nights outta 5 and guys (that cant sing) singing, definitely needs looked at. All in all its a very rundown hotel that needs money pumped into it to give it anywhere close to a 4* rating. The hotel/rooms are set of the main strip up a hill so if you have mobility problems its a no no unless you hire the scooters from vendors down the street. If you want luxury definitely go somewhere else. I have travelled to Lanzarote on many occasions and I would say this will be my/our last time.

Great location but sadly the hotel is aged and in need of some repair and decoration. Food was good and had a reasonable variety. Staff were generally pleasant but some need a lesson in customer services. Sam did his best to entertain people but without him there was very little else to do and the outside pool bar area was uncomfortable with plastic seating. We were All Inclusive and drinks were plentiful but cheap local stuff and we didn't like the small plastic cup idea or the €1 deposit for them. Plenty of sun loungers and they are well spread out around a decent pool area. More of a 2 star hotel but if decorated an slightly modernised it would rate as the advertised 3 star hotel. We just needed to relax and the hotel served this purpose but highly unlikely we'd return again.

We had an amazing 7-night stay at Hotel Plaza Palmeras. The standout was Sam the entertainer – he works alone but runs fantastic activities like karaoke, quizzes, bingo, water Zumba, cocktail making, and more. He really made us feel welcome and brought the hotel to life.
All the staff were excellent – bar staff served quickly with great quality drinks (San Miguel on tap), restaurant staff kept food fresh and the dining area spotless, reception were friendly and helpful, and cleaners did a brilliant job keeping everything immaculate.
The location is great, just a 7-minute walk to the main strip (note: a bit of a hill back). Pools are cold and some rooms could do with a little TLC, but for the price we couldn’t fault it. We’d definitely return – especially if Sam is still there!

Definitely not 4 star. 2 star max. Rooms and hotel in general are dated and grubby especially the showers. Bathroom doors are just a glass panel that doesn't close so no privacy at all. The pool is freezing, not inviting at all. Didn't go in it once apart from dipping my feet in. Do not book all inclusive! Cocktails are awful, juices are like cordial. Only decent drink is San Miguel on tap. Food was terrible. We booked all inclusive and we ate in the hotel for one day and decided to eat out the rest of the holiday as we couldn't stomach it. Waste of money. Unable to upgrade rooms as they are all the same. Outside room areas unless ur on second floor have no privacy or boundary. The beds are rock hard. I have a bad back after sleeping on them for a week. The rooms smell of raw sewage and are lacking in general amenities. We checked out after 5 days and decided to stay in the cinco plazas next door for our last 2 days which were much nicer even though it's only a 2 star hotel. Avoid and go elsewhere..

Absolutely love this place… so quiet… friendly staff I gave the rooms a 4* purely for the comfort of the beds and the cleanliness yes they are outdated but perfectly fine the whole resort os so clean we have had no issues both times we have been and hoping to go back next month for my birthday… highly recommend
