Overall a great budget friendly holiday considering the amount we payed. We stayed for a week and had a good time.
The hotel rooms are more like a mini apartment, nice and spacious although furniture was a bit outdated, still a comfortable place to sleep and shower so can’t complain! Would’ve liked it to be a bit cleaner when we arrived- the floor was dirty which meant we couldn’t walk around in socks only but I understand that can’t always be helped especially if previous guests are wearing dirty shoes in the room.
Cocktail of the day and sandwich bar were a nice touch, Dylan one of the bar staff members was always lovely and quick to make our drinks! He dealt with the long queues very well despite only 1 staff member being behind the bar at a time. Could’ve done with having atleast 2. Sometimes found when other bartenders were on the bar, it would be left. once we waited over 10 minutes with no one serving with a massive queue starting to form!
For the meals, there could’ve been more selection- lots of fish options each day which doesn’t appeal to everyone, although i understand you can’t always please everyone. Sufficient for us and reasonable for a budget hotel, breakfast was our favourite.
Overall, a good holiday for the price and would come back (although we don’t often stay in the same place twice!).

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are basic but very clean. Always got a sunbed at pool. Restaurant had plenty of choice of food and drink. Third time at Costa Teguise Gardens and improving every time we visit. Enjoyed the walk to the shops and beach every morning. Will definitely be back.

We stayed 5 nights as a family of 4, and sadly, this hotel was a big disappointment. The room was clean on arrival but had no air conditioning, which made sleeping difficult.
On the first night, something bit me on the leg. I asked reception to check for bed bugs—they fumigated and left the bottle of chemicals in the room, right where my 4-year-old could “play” with it.
Things got worse when we found cockroaches, including a huge one in the toilet and another in the room. Again, they fumigated and left the bottle behind. After that, my kids were too scared to sleep or shower, and the nights became a nightmare-no one slept.
The food was mostly poor the first couple of days—overcooked pasta, undercooked meat, and a constantly empty or rotten salad bar. We lost our appetite after seeing cockroaches near the cereals and bread. We paid for all-inclusive but still had to eat out because of the hygiene issues.
To be fair, the best part of the hotel is the staff. Juan the entertainer was fantastic, and the restaurant team were lovely—they even helped kill the cockroaches spotted at the restaurant and took feedback seriously, when I found another little animal inside the camomile tea bags 🤢. The chef actually improved the food after I spoke with him.
Reception, on the other hand, was unhelpful, especially during one day when we were kicked out by the staff of our sunbeds almost at the end of our stay when we decided to stay in the swimming pool, because other guests had “reserved” them by putting their hotel towels from 8 am and disappeared all day so after 6h hours of seeing nobody in that very limited shade area we push our 1 sunbed for the four of us there and pull theirs aside, just for them to come back at 5pm to asked reception to removed us out of there that obviously leave us with a sour and sad feeling.
Sadly, despite the lovely staff, at the restaurant and the communal areas, our stay was disappointing, uncomfortable, unhygienic, and stressful. Would not recommend it, It is not fit for purpose, or value for money as you can not sleep or eat.

Hotel is rated as 3 ☆ but would say more 2☆, we had a good holiday but hotel needs updating badly, we had an end room which was spacious but our bathroom stunk badly, broken door, green algae behind door, fridge worked well, was grateful for ceiling fan in bedroom. Food was hit and miss, would say breakfast being best 4out of 6 days, lots of pork based meals and desserts were a big let down, ice cream machine in dining hall worked for only 3 days but didn't taste like ice cream, entertainment was not good and if you have little ones mini disco is only 3 songs.sun beds are locked till 10am which works well, pool has only metal steps which due to bad knees was unable to use, pool depth is 1.35 and 1.40 metres, baby pool very shallow. We only see stairs down to dining hall.

In my opinion this is below average 3* hotel
If you there just to sleep and eat like us you would be fine but I would not choose it if you intend to spend most time in a hotel.
Positives :
Big apartments and comfy beds
They don't let people reserve sun beds before pool opens
Cats houses on a hotel ground, it's nice they are looking after animals
Nice pool towels
Negatives
No air conditioning
Rooms needs upgrading
Terrible snack bar (basically just bread so you can make your own sandwich if there are still other ingredients left like butter etc )
We basically didn't drink there apart from odd beer at meal but on a last day I wanted a cocktail and was told I can only have cocktail of the day which I didn't like (different cocktails each day) I have not seen this at any other hotel.
When it comes to food it was not too bad,not a big choice but quite tasty apart from one day when I was struggling to find something nice to eat (and other people too) Very good chips, fresh fruits.
I would probably not stay here again unless it was very cheap
