Overall, the hotel is basically clean and the pool area is very nice and enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location works well.
However, there are many small issues that add up — and most of them would be very easy to fix.
Cleaning is only done every other day. If you cook in the apartment, you need to wash your own dishes, which is understandable — but there are no dishwashing supplies provided, so you have to buy them yourself.
The kitchen equipment is otherwise decent, but basic items like scissors and a proper kitchen knife are missing. It would also make sense to provide simple essentials such as salt and cooking oil.
Trash bags are not provided in the room — when the bin gets full, you have to go to reception to ask for more. Why not leave a few spare bags in the room?
Recycling also feels quite superficial. It would be great to have separate bins in the rooms for plastic, glass, etc.
There was no hand soap in the bathroom, which feels like a basic necessity. The bathroom also lacks cabinets and storage space, and more wall hooks would be very helpful - also to entry of the apartment.
Also, the balconies offer little privacy. Some kind of sliding divider or other barrier between neighboring balcony would make a big difference.
The biggest issue was the shower drainage: the floor slopes incorrectly, so water runs all the way into the hallway. The door frames get wet and are already showing signs of moisture damage and mold.
In summary, the hotel is okay and the pool area is a big plus, but attention to small practical details would significantly improve the overall experience.

Just back from Bitacora Lanzarote Club
Would highly recommend staying here. Clean tidy apartments ,pool area, dining area and bar reasonably priced for alcohol and food. Highly recommend trying a full breakfast descent amount for €5. Bar staff were friendly and attentive.Small supermarket on site not the cheapest but well stocked. Lidl superstore 10 minutes walk away. My only fault with Bitacora was the location. Going to the beach front was ok downhill heading back there's a huge hill to climb 😰 on a + note there's plenty of taxis available which range in price from
€3 -€5 will definitely return there.

Great accommodation, cleaners never away. Everything seems refurbished to a good standard in my apartment. Air con, but not required. Bit of a walk up the hill if you have cardiac problems. Taxis cheap. Frank Sinatra and Elvis in bar. Food available and edible for a snacks. It's like little Ireland on sea front with a touch of India. Great cliff walk down to next village Porto Calero with bus back in 15 mins.

This is a great place to stay for a winter holiday. We have been here twice, staff are very friendly, still get the bed hogging, when there’s no need. Beds could do with a freshen up all seam slack.
Breakfasts are just right. Would recommend a try, and the location is higher up the road, but loads of short cuts to miss the hills.
Taxi back is about €4, so use them.

We had a fab 4 night break here in winter. Apartment was clean and spacious with everything we needed. Pool bar and shop on site was convenient too!
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Big thanks to Javier for accommodating our room request 😊 Would definitely stay here again ☀️🍹
