Just back from a week in Barceló Marbella. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Paula on reception and the other receptionist who has lived in Swords, Ireland. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. The breakfast room is bright and food was replenished quickly My room was great with a very big comfortable bed and soft pillows. Accommodation staff were so nice and the hotel is spotless. I will be back when I visit Marbella again. Great hotel, would recommend !

Nice hotel located very close to Marbella.
Easy access to AP-7 and A-7 motorways.
The hotel is big enough. It looks very luxurious.
Swimming pool and garden on the side. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The bathroom is also big enough. All facilities are available in the hotel. Breakfast is delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to visit.

We arrived at the hotel and initially enjoyed everything, but as the evening approached, issues arose. The WiFi wasn't functioning, the complimentary water bottle provided was very small, and to purchase a 1.5-liter bottle, we had to pay 4 euros. Additionally, the lighting in the room was quite dim. We still have a few more days here, but these were our experiences on the first day alone!!! Not to mention, the refrigerator is completely empty. I suggest that the manager try a few hotels at the same level in Turkey and Dubai to see the difference.

I stayed here over 10 years ago. I always remembered the lovely friendly staff. My wife and I were there on holiday to celebrate my birthday, (maybe my 50th)
I was presented with a bottle of wine and a birthday cake by the management. They really made me feel welcome. I hope to be well enough in the future, to visit a truly lovely hotel, and lovely people. 👍🏿

The worst 4-star hotel I have ever been to.
Recently, I have been traveling extensively worldwide, but I have never had such a bad experience as I did here at Barcelo Marbella! When I arrived at 2:30 PM, I was told my room would be ready in 20 minutes, but it took 1.5 hours in the end. However, I was offered a different room, where I found broken glass pieces on the floor! Luckily, I had kept my socks on, so I didn't cut my feet on the first day of my holidays. I wasn't even offered any kind of compensation for this. The water glasses in the room were extremely dirty (difficult to take a picture of it) as welll as the cup holder. The shower knob is also very sharp, the shower door is broken, so half of the water leak out, and the WC flusher is stuck most of the time. The rooms are big but not well isolated, so you can basically hear what your neighbors are talking about next door. Dinner was also a nightmare; my plate went in front of me to two other tables before it arrived at mine! Anyway, I cannot recommend the shrimp taco; it was very fatty without much taste. Steak and Brownies were good then. And when I wanted to take off my makeup, I noticed that the vanity kit was not refilled. When I asked reception for a refill in the evening, it never arrived, even though reception told me they would send housekeeping. Next day was not refillied neither so had to call again to finaly receive it. Sauna and Steam is only available for extra charge, 10 EUR per 20min each, this I find also weird for 4* hotel.
I am wondering how many more bad surprises I will encounter in this hotel before I leave. One thing I am sure of, I am definitely not coming back...
