We spent 6 very happy nights at the AX Victoria in Feb '26. Our room was lovely, everywhere was clean and tidy and the staff were very nice and friendly. The pools, sauna, steam room and gym were great. Breakfast was very tasty with a wide selection too. The hotel's location is within easy access of Sliema waterfront, Valletta and St Julien's and getting around the island on the bus and ferries was easy enough too. Thank you so much, we'll be back again!

Fantastic hotel in super location. The breakfasts were amazing and the staff were very friendly. My husband and I choose Malta for our wedding anniversary and were so happy to come back from a day out to a surprise bottle of Prosecco in our room, we would certainly come back to this special hotel xxx

Good location in Sliema if you also want close to the ferry which is like a 10 minutes walk downhill. The place is also surrounded by restaurants significantly Asian and Filipino restaurants. They also gave me a free cocktail voucher because I stayed here on my birthday. Breakfast offers wide variety of foods. They have a souveneir shop inside which is surprisingly cheaper than souvenirs from outside. The pool on the rooftop is bigger than the indoor pool. Overall I like the hotel and the service they have. All the staffs are friendly and accomodating.

Lovely hotel with really great staff. Breakfasts very good with big selection. Rooms very comfy and clean. Good location and easy to get to all the local places. Indoor pool and sauna nice. A bit cold weather for outdoor pool but it looked nice.

The overall experience was very good. The hotel looks exactly as shown in the pictures, and the ladies at reception were extremely kind, polite, and helpful every single time.
However, I would like to mention an issue that occurred during our stay. I was traveling with someone who required medication to be kept refrigerated. When we initially spoke to the reception staff, the ladies were very cooperative and understanding of our situation, and they kindly took our cooling gels and placed them in the freezer without any issue.
On Saturday 20/12 in the evening, however, there was a male receptionist on duty. When we asked for the same assistance, he replied, “Isn’t the refrigerator in your room working?” We calmly explained—not once, but twice—that we specifically needed the gels to be ❄️frozen❄️, not just refrigerated. I believe we used the word “freezer” at least three times. He answered “okay, okay,” and we assumed everything would be handled properly.
Unfortunately, upon checking out on Sunday, we discovered that the gels had only been kept in the refrigerator and were not frozen. This was quite disappointing, as we checked out at 12:00 and did not arrive home until midnight. As you can imagine, the medication was not in good shape after more than 12 hours.
For this reason, the 3-star rating applies only to the service provided by the male receptionist. The rest of the team did an excellent job, and we truly appreciate their professionalism and kindness.
