We had an amazing holiday with sunny suites as our base, the rooms were clean and modern, all of the staff were fantastic. The pool was clean and cold, the beer and drinks were perfect. Amazing cretan hospitality, we will be coming again for our next holiday!

Sunny suites. Was all that we hoped for. Very clean rooms big balcony, we had romm 303. Wrap around balcony good living space. Bar and good pool. Really friendly staff. Breakfast at nearby hotel. Close to the beach. Would throughly recommend this hotel.

Basic apartments with basic necessities. Bathroom slightly small and is a poorly designed wet room (water doesn't drain well and ends up all over the floor). Room service is good but bar was empty a lot of the time (end of the season).
During popular times a lot more is available, such as another local hotel who has a large pool (it is cold though) and other restaurants. However, once services begin to close little to nothing is available.

Fantastic small hotel perfectly situated for exploration of the west of Crete island and beyond. 'King Manos' and 'Prince Manos' own/manage the hotel and are very friendly and helpful (also run GeePas car rentals which is a bonus!!). Our room, 305, was plenty big enough for 4 of us, 2 TV's and 2 aircon units in each area of the appartment, never had that before! Small kitchenette but was equipped with everything we needed. Free WIFI throughout the whole property. Cleaning staff were also brilliant and were about everyday, coming back to a cleaned room everyday just makes all the difference.
Drinks and bar snacks are well priced at the hotel bar, but you do have the option of walking to the sea front or along the main road to access some really good eateries most meals around £10 a head with drinks.
Despite being on a main road its fairly quiet and accessibility to bus or local areas is very good. It has a smallish pool but considering its a small hotel it was never busy or overcrowded (plenty of sun beds and bar seating) and during our two weeks we met some lovely people during nights in at the bar.
I have to make a special mention to the two main staff members who are go to people for your stay. George and Pedro run the bar, check in guests and just about everything else! were outstanding (sadly George was ill on our second week.. hope you are better my friend!!). Their knowledge of the local area and island is invaluable and their willingness to make your stay as perfect as possible was so impressive. Brilliant with children, great grasp of english and wonderful sense of humour (plus those 'cocktails') really made our holiday special. Big Shout to Pedro who went way above and beyond what you would normally expect and made our holiday (especially in week 2!!).
Ok, I may sound 'gushie' about our stay.. but we're home for 5 days now and still laughing and thinking about our stay in Maleme, Crete.. the people we met, the staff and the fun we had (especially the drives in the mountains!). We've travelled extensively across the Med over the last 30 years, but this was our first time in Crete.. and we're hooked, like the other guests who return year after year. Get Out, Hire a Car, Eat and come back to a lovely vibe in the hotel in the evening. Utterly recommended!

Sunny suites is somewhere I would return too. The people that run it are welcoming and do all they can too make it an enjoyable holiday for all. Our appartment was spotless and the cleaners came every day and did a superb job. Hand wash, washing up liquid, shampoo, sponge, toilet rolls provided. Hair dryer in room too. The appartment is small so not realy suitable to cook large meals. There is a 2 ring hob, fridge with small freezer, kettle, toaster, pans and cuttlery. The pool is so clean and well maintained. Bar does some food and is well stocked and clean. Hand gel is at the bar and staff wear masks. Beach is a 5 minutes walk. All the local restraunts we went to did top class quality home cooked food. We found about 7 restaurants within walking distance but our favourites were the black lantern and the wave.Over-all it was a great holiday and I hope to return one day.
