Overall we had a very good stay here. We were apprehensive before we booked because of the mixed reviews, but we are glad we did.
Before we arrived someone from guest relations reached out to check our preferences re rooms and ask if we needed any airport transfers etc.
Slightly disorganised arrival - we arrived at the main gate but there was no one to help you with luggage or greeting you so we had to take it ourselves up the road to reception. Not all of the reception staff know the answers to basic questions and sometime seem a bit flustered - but eventually they find someone who does. This might have been due to a language barrier, some of the receptions staff didn’t have great English.
The rooms are nice, large and with everything you’d need. Large shower and two sinks. Decently clean but not spotless. The finishings are of a fine standard, some things are a bit cracked, stained or messy etc. which is odd considering how new the hotel is, but it’s nothing major. At one point we had no running water for a few hours but it got fixed.
When we requested things (e.g. toiletries) they came quickly and someone always followed up over the phone to check they’d arrived.
The facilities are excellent- two brand new pádel courts, a full sized AstroTurf football pitch, huge water park, many swimming pools (including two heated - one outdoor and one indoor). The indoor one is very large and a tranquil area. The constant music at the main pool is quite grating. The gym is excellently equipped, although very warm inside. The spa looks nice although the hammam and jacuzzi are extra cost, even though it doesn’t say this when booking.
WiFi is pretty good - works most places in the resort, but sometimes drops out unexpectedly.
They have multiple bars and food stations open at various points throughout the day so you won’t go hungry! They show live sports in lots of the bars.
The food was generally good. Not everything is labelled in the buffets which makes it had to know what things are which is especially tricky if you have allergies or intolerances. When asking the chefs they were not always sure/ very minimal English which is definitely not great if you are vegetarian or have allergies etc. Dinner at Culina (international cuisine) has a variety of options- both for meat eaters and vegetarians - but can get a bit repetitive as the menu is similar each day for all meals. The Moroccan style restaurant was excellent. The Asian restaurant is more Chinese style.
Shuttle service worked well - both going into Marrakech city centre 3 times each morning and then coming back to the hotel too. It was prompt and the driver friendly.
Generally the service is good and the staff are friendly and helpful when they can be.
Overall this is clearly a good hotel that is resolving its teething issues from having opened recently.

I had the white cheese pasta and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the white cheese sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It tasted fresh and was very nicely prepared. The balance of cheese and seasoning was just right, making every bite enjoyable. The presentation was also good, and it felt like real comfort food. Overall, it was a very satisfying dish and clearly made with care. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend trying the white cheese pasta here.

Alhamdulillah! I just had the most blessed stay at Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Marakesh and I feel compelled to share my gratitude, for the food, the people, and every little detail that made this experience truly unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, the shuttle service was a seamless blessing – they picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off right at the entrance of this wonderful resort, just a stone’s throw from the magnificent 800 ‑year‑old mosque Kurubia in the heart of Marakesh.
The convenience was a true gift from Allah.
The rooms are a perfect retreat: clean, spacious, and equipped with a lovely indoor heated pool that kept us warm even on the cool evenings.
Praise be to God for such thoughtful amenities And the food! Oh, the flavors were a celebration of Moroccan cuisine – each dish was delicious, yummy, and incredibly versatile. From fresh salads to succulent grilled meats, every meal felt like a gift from the Creator.
The staff were absolutely amazing. their gentle, professional demeanor made us feel at home, and they engaged the children with such love and care that we could relax knowing our little ones were in the best hands.
The kids’ club is an amazing place for children to play, learn, and have fun, with amazing staff Flora and Suka’s, there dedication made it truly special.
Every corner of Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Marakesh exudes warmth and hospitality, and I leave with a heart full of thanks.
May Allah bless this wonderful place and all the wonderful souls who make it so extraordinary. Highly recommended – a true paradise on earth and best destination for holiday.

Winter Holiday / New Year’s Stay
We visited over New Year’s, knowing not everything would be open and pools weren’t heated.
✨ Highlights:
• The NYE party was fantastic: great entertainment, dancers, musicians, singers, and fun extras like masks, balloons, and streamers. Kids enjoyed it too, even returning after a break to celebrate.
• Staff were friendly and accommodating, especially at the water park where they opened sections on request.
⚠️ Downsides:
• Food was repetitive. While the NYE buffet had variety, sushi lacked soy/wasabi, prawns were served whole, and baklava was dry. Lunch often defaulted to pizza and salad (great for pizza lovers, less so for others). Pasta sauces were bland, and breakfast honey was swapped for a strange substitute.
• Water park slides ran at low pressure, causing kids to get stuck. Pools were ice cold.
• Spa felt dated: broken lockers, doors, and jacuzzi. Sauna/steam cost extra (100dh), though private use was nice. Hamam was good but overpriced compared to town.
⭐ Overall:
A solid 3 star experience. Great staff, poor entertainment (aside from NYE party) and food and facilities need improvement. Best suited for families who love water parks and don’t mind cold pools
