The hotel has a wooooonderful garden, 2 very nice swimming pools, a main restaurant + 2 other restaurants, a Greek and an Italian one, where you have to pay, an open-air cinema, an exposition/a museum, a gym, a SPA, 2 shops inside the complex, a bar next to each of the 2 pools, from where you can grab a snack and a drink between the meals, and a big chess table on the terrace. The rooms seem a bit old, but the service was very good, always clean. Good food, fresh and varied. They also offer a few minutes (30 maybe?) of water gym in the main pool, and an evening bar, where the staff was playing quizz with the tourists, and dancing and singing. Very nice vibe. The closest beach to the hotel is extremely small, even smaller than what we saw in the pictures from the previous years, but lots of bars with sunbeds, and food. But the water is very clean and clear and warm, for mid-September. If you want to stay in the hotel, I definitely recommend it

Although disappointed we weren’t expecting much or too bothered. Just think the hotel star rating and what most happy clients seem to think can be misleading for others with different expectations/ standards. We aren’t snobs although strangely I do feel it while I write this.
Think modern 3* and you should be happy.
Don’t bother with all inclusive unless you want to drink loads of cheap coffee and booze. Most drinks I wanted weren’t included. Local restaurants are cheap enough but there aren’t many it’s so isolated here.
Hotel shuttle to nearest town is just a public bus that passes. It’s not the free service we assumed when told there was a hotel shuttle bus.
Also don’t come in late Sept if you want any sort of vibe or atmosphere. Hotel closes for the winter and feels like it’s already closed.
Well the stray cats got lots of love and fed well while we were here (from the paid extra restaurant lol).

This was our second year at the Apollonion and it was even better than last year. The new splash park and extra seating around the top pool are great additions. You’ll never struggle to find a sun lounger and there’s no need to reserve one, which makes it really relaxing.
The food is excellent with lots of variety, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We stayed in a swim-up room this time and it was fantastic, spacious for the four of us, with a generous outdoor area and direct pool access.
Last year we had a regular apartment, which was also very good, so you don’t necessarily need the swim-up, but it’s a brilliant option if you have little ones.
Overall, highly recommend this hotel and we’ll definitely be returning.

Fantastic clean, beautiful, friendly staff - this hotel has everything and more. Loved Angela and Jenny in the cafe bar by the main pool. The waiters / waitresses in the main restaurant were so lovely and so hardworking too. Only faults with the restaurant were that we would've liked to sit outside at lunch and weren't allowed, also it was a fairly small buffet for the size of dining hall, however, I would definitely book again.

Lovely hotel. Rooms cleaned every day. Staff very helpful. 2 great swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds. Hotel a bit out of the way but bus stops outside the hotel which takes you down to the port if you want to go to the capital. Only thing to say is the holiday tax was 105 euros for a weeks stay!.
Which we thought was way too much but we were told the Greek government make that decision.
