Hotel Angela Beach, situated on the tranquil shores of the Greek island of Corfu, offers a secluded retreat with some notable features and a few shortcomings.
The location, right by the sea, provides a serene atmosphere. However, the hour-long transfer from the airport through winding and narrow island streets may be an issue for some travelers.
During check-in, the presence of only two receptionists for a group of hungry guests arriving shortly before the restaurant closes could cause stress. The hotel doesn't offer takeaway food packages, so planning for meals during day trips is necessary. You can prepare sandwiches during breakfast.
It's worth noting that during a stay in early October, some parts of the hotel were closed, including the waterslide and certain dining areas. On the plus side, this meant ample available space at sun loungers, in the restaurant, and at other bars. The all-inclusive package covers 24-hour cold drinks, including still and sparkling water, with stronger alcoholic beverages available after 1:00 PM. Meal times are as follows: breakfast 8-10, lunch 12-2, and dinner 7-9. Afternoon options include pizza, kebabs, and fries, with ice cream limited to vanilla and chocolate without additional toppings.
The food, on the other hand, is moderately diverse and of average taste. While an octopus dish appeared once, some fish dishes seemed undercooked. Fruits and desserts, especially during breakfast, were lacking. The dry cake and hard biscuits might be better suited for a hospital than a hotel. Freshly prepared items like grilled or roasted meat were missing.
The superior room, divided into two areas, allows for separate sleeping spaces. However, the central balcony in front of the pool area may not suit everyone due to a lack of curtains for privacy. Wi-Fi didn't work in the room, only on the balcony, with intermittent connectivity. The TV offered a few channels but lacked music and sports.
The most disappointing aspect was the bathroom. The hotel staff is pleasant, but some employees are Albanian, which may result in subtle cultural differences compared to Greek hospitality.
During the stay, the main groups of tourists were seniors and young couples with small children. The hotel provides free transport to nearby Roda and scooter/motorcycle rentals.
Overall, considering the pros and cons, this hotel may warrant a 2-star rating rather than the advertised 3 or 4 stars. Some guests may find these conditions acceptable, especially given the reasonable price, but the promotional description should align more closely with the actual experience

The hotel is located in a beautiful area but unfortunately does not use its potential. The rooms were beautiful and big enough. As for the restaurant, there was a poor selection, but it was possible to eat. I was quite disappointed by the limited times within the all-inclusive. Nowhere have I come across the fact that, for example, I can get ice cream for free within all-inclusive, but only until a certain hour. And this is how it worked in several cases. The staff was nice and accommodating. But the biggest disappointment was the beach. Being the only resort far and wide and not being able to clean up the beach and sea after a storm is literally laziness. The outdoor area and sunbeds could use a refresh. It wasn't the worst, but I experienced much better services and resorts.
Repellents are also needed. There are an insane amount of mosquitoes.

Stayed here in a Comfort Family Room for a week in September 2023.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning and still received a warm welcome and were helped up to our room (which felt like miles away). We informed the holiday operator and the hotel in advance that we had a disabled guest but the part of the hotel we were put in wasn't very accessible at all and our disabled guest had to keep getting in and out of their wheelchair due curbs and overly steep ramps.
The resort complex really is huge and on arrival you aren't given any sort of map or similar to show you where the amenities are which is very frustrating when you're part of a group with accessibility needs and you can't find anything. The size of the complex means that we barely ever had to queue for food, drinks, sunbeds, etc which is ideal. There's also lots of pools to choose from so plenty of choice to find a quiet space during the day.
The room was extremely basic (almost bare) but it was clean and the maid service was fantastic. We had a few issues; a leaking toilet on arrival and then later an ant infestation (there were TONS of them) but the issues were seen to very quickly. The staff are a credit to this hotel!
I'm not one to complain about noise normally but the hotel is very noisy (or at least in the 800 block where we stayed). Music goes on until half past midnight and is way too loud to let you get to sleep before that time so we were exhausted for all our holiday.
The location is very much out in the middle of nowhere. Had we known about the lack of public transport I'd have definitely rented a car. There's a free shuttle to Roda town during the day but it's not frequent enough until 5pm which wasn't ideal for us as we had a toddler in our party and getting a taxi back from there was a bit of a nightmare.
The view of the sea from the beach is to die for however! Absolute paradise. The sea is shallow so it's perfect for children and non-swimmers alike. We never struggled to get a free sunbed on the beach either.
Fellow guests were mostly very respectful and the staff cracked down on any anti-social behaviour very quickly. The hotel is very family/child friendly until bedtime with the loud music and kids slamming doors.
There's many bars including a fairly hidden rooftop bar which was our favourite place to go as it was always quiet and relaxed. Some nights there's entertainment but not often, I think we had it for 2 nights out of 7. The snack bars serve quick and tasty food despite a lack of variety (chips, pizza, gyros). The all-inclusive buffet food really suffers from a lack of culture and variety. The meals were the same almost every day and we soon got tired of eating pure carbs as it just makes you feel bloated and tired. Breakfast was definitely the best meal of the day as the options just felt fresher and tastier. The menu could do with bringing in more of the beautiful Greek cuisine but I feel like they are just trying to please tourists. The evening buffet is 7pm-9pm which is way too late for families in my opinion, especially when the snack bars shut at 3pm so there's a 4-hour gap with no food available. There's always stray cats and dogs hanging around at mealtimes too which can put you off your food. Buffet food is also never labelled which isn't great for allergy sufferers.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay but, honestly, it was boring. The remoteness and lack of entertainment and activities really lets the hotel down on the location side of things and the food just isn't up to scratch. The staff are brilliant and always so friendly which was the highlight of the trip but sadly not enough for us to want to stay here again.
Save your money and pay the same amount for much better elsewhere.

Good resort if you like to eat same food every day 😁.
Rooms are a bit small but with everything you need(TV, Air, coffe machine, etc. Most of the rooms have a small balcony.
Cleaning every morning from so you don't have to worry about anything.
All inclusive with a small selection of food.
Breakfast eggs, ham, and beans everyday.
Fruits served everyday are just apples, pears and rare melon..
At lunch mostly served is pasta, some poor soup or over salted fries.
They have something called pizza, but I don't know what really is.
Clean pools with no lifeguard. You are allowed in the pools from 10:00 to 19:00.
No entertainment of any kind, not even for kids...
Beach at 10 meters from your room, clean and sandy, with a lot of available free sunbeds and umbrellas.
Showers available near beach or on some parts of the resort.
This resort is a bit far from any village or city but offers a lot of ways of transportation to and from the city, for free.
A nice shop in the main building near reception area, with good prices and a large variety of drinks, souvenirs, etc.

1st day room had ants in the bathroom, took a day to get a new table for the balcony. It is a beautiful place to stay right by the sea. Staff are friendly and helpful in most ways only issue is that you have to pay cash for everything at this complex when most people have a card. And there is no cash machine on site. Have to travel to the next town just to get cash.
