We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Everything met our expectations. The staff, who kept the rooms clean, deserve special mention. A big thank you to Ahmed for keeping our rooms 1111 and 1112 clean, tidy, and well-decorated. My daughter was delighted to return to her room, receiving a lovely surprise: a pet and her name made from towels.
Many greetings Monika with family

I like to break down each bit so here we go :D
Rooms: Spacious but furniture was old and could use renovations.
Service: In general was great except for waiters in the restaurant who paid attention to foreigners. Yet, they were respectable so I was okay. Shout out to chef Mohamed at the Italian pizza bar.
Food: Fresh , varied and tastes good. I want to thank the Salad Chef specifically because all was fresh and different. Shout out to the bakery chef especially the croissants he baked fresh during breakfast buffet.
Beach: Good for snorkeling not swimming. It could hurt your feet, make sure to have your waterproof shoes.
Animation Team: Were active and each night they had a different show. I want to thank Nivida I believe, a young active beautiful woman who took my daughter and encouraged her to dance :D Never did I see this attention else where.
Pools: Clean with many heights to suit different people. The aqua park was small with 7 slides yet, they were fun and satisfying. Life guards were all over the place and had their eyes on the kids.
I generally recommend it for the quality and value it brings compared to the price. :D

Absolutely amazing! Muhammad is a true master of his craft — not only does he make incredible pizza, but his Eastern-style sweet pies with custard are on a whole other level. Seriously, these things are unreal. Perfectly baked, deliciously creamy, and honestly just unforgettable. Huge respect to this guy — he deserves all the praise. If you haven’t tried his pastries yet, you’re seriously missing out. 100% recommend!

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel in April 2025. It is one of the coziest and most welcoming hotels we’ve ever visited. We especially enjoyed dinner at the Lebanese Rosman restaurant. Being on a new continent, we really wanted to experience the local cuisine and traditions, which is why we chose this restaurant. And we didn’t regret it! We were greeted by an amazing person, Ashraf Ahmed, who not only treated us with great respect but also served absolutely magnificent dishes! I highly recommend that anyone staying at Amwaj visit the Lebanese Rosman restaurant at least once! You won’t be disappointed!
REAL CAMO
I normally don’t write long reviews, but I want to give an honest warning about this hotel.
Rooms
Very old and poorly maintained.
On the first day, my toilet had a plumbing issue and the bathroom was literally sinking in water.
The second room had the AC dripping from the ceiling.
Bed sheets and towels were not clean, and the room floor was dirty.
Housekeeping staff are polite, but clearly untrained — they use very dirty tools and lack any quality supervision.
Restaurant & Food
Food itself is okay; at least it won’t upset your stomach.
However, the restaurant is completely unorganized. You will queue for everything. Tables and seating are chaotic.
Extremely noisy and crowded, which makes it impossible to enjoy a meal.
Guests & Atmosphere
The hotel is medium-priced, but unfortunately, it attracts massive company trips, group travels, and church outings.
This creates an overcrowded, unpleasant, and often impolite atmosphere in the pool, beach, restaurant, and aqua park.
Foreign guests were better in behavior, but the overwhelming number of large local groups still made the overall atmosphere noisy and far from peaceful.
The beach is rocky. There are some fish near the harbor, but corals are badly damaged. I personally saw people standing on corals and collecting seashells from the sea, telling each other they would use them as cups for smoking ashes — a very bad example, and lifeguards did nothing about it.
Entertainment & Activities
Night activities are boring, repetitive, and lack creativity. Animation teams feel like copy-paste programs from decades ago.
Soft drinks are awful: just sugary water with no flavor. (I don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t comment on that.)
Service & Reception
Guest relations treat foreigners better than Egyptians, giving little attention to local guests.
When I complained about my bathroom problem on day one, the receptionist told me I was exaggerating instead of apologizing.
The manager apologized and promised to send a fruit basket, but of course, nothing arrived.
Pools
Always overcrowded, and it’s very hard to find a free sunbed.
Only one pool near the beach was somewhat clean and less chaotic.
Price vs Value
I paid 7,700 EGP per night, and the service and amenities definitely did not match this price.
Overall, this hotel is far below standard compared to many others I’ve stayed at in Egypt over the last two decades.
Conclusion
Do not go there unless you’re traveling as a big group and only care about being together. If you are looking for relaxation, service quality, or value for money — this is not the place.
