Our stay here was deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise other travellers to think twice before booking.
We reserved a premium “Oh là là The One” category room based on the photos and description on the hotel’s own website. The reality was nothing like what was advertised — completely different layout, view, and finish. When we raised this immediately at reception, the response was defensive rather than helpful. We were told we could leave “if we wanted,” but that no refund would be made for the price difference. After a long journey, we felt backed into a corner and stayed — hardly the 5-star service one expects.
Management’s tone throughout was patronising. They later offered a “free dinner” and to waive parking fees (which we hadn’t even been told existed) as supposed goodwill gestures — gestures that came across more as a way to silence complaints than to resolve them. There was no genuine sense of accountability, only excuses about “representative photos.”
A hotel of this price and brand should understand that transparency and empathy matter far more than empty gestures. What should have been a special and relaxing stay turned into a stressful experience handled with complete indifference.
We travel frequently and rarely leave negative reviews, but this one is deserved. Misrepresentation, poor customer service, and an attitude that treats guests like they’re the problem — not the paying customers — are unacceptable.

We stayed for a week in November. This is a top class hotel with many things going for it despite the “towels”. It’s a large but well run hotel with a good staff in a great position in Marbella. The breakfast is outstanding and yes sometimes we had to queue but it was worth it.
A couple of minor quibbles - the room needed more storage space having a small wardrobe area with 2 drawers and the lifts can get busy. Nevertheless I would happily return !

Our stay at this beachfront hotel in Marbella was nothing short of amazing. The location is perfect, right on the beach and just a short walk from the beautiful Old Town. The staff went above and beyond in every area – at the reception, by the pool and beach, and especially in the restaurant, where the team truly went out of their way to create a flawless dining experience.
The entire property is immaculate and very well maintained. The food was exceptional, with an impressive variety and top quality that turned every meal into a highlight. Combined with the unique Mediterranean atmosphere, the hotel offers both elegance and warmth, making it the ideal place to relax and enjoy Marbella.
Simply put, this is *the place to be* if you want the perfect mix of beachside luxury and authentic charm. Without a doubt, this hotel fully deserves its 5 stars!

Tourist trap – 5 stars gone wrong
Quite the opposite of the hotel I stayed at the night before, where the service was absolutely outstanding. Here, unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing.
Even before arrival, I received more than ten promotional emails pushing me to prepay for extras, but a simple request about late check-out went unanswered. Upon arrival, no help with our luggage – the concierge apparently “did not see us.”
The room setup was misleading: whether you book twin beds or a double bed makes no difference – the only change is how the sheets are tucked. In fact, there isn’t even enough space for true twin beds.
The quality of bedding, towels, and linens was far below 5-star standards – thin, cheap, and in some cases with stains. Honestly, even a Motel One offers better quality and service. The only redeeming factor was the view.
Breakfast was another low point: long queues just to enter the dining room, and again for basic items like eggs.
After we had complained, for example at the reception, or the pool bar, the staff showed an unprofessional attitude – chewing gum, rolling their eyes, and blaming guests instead of offering solutions.
All in all, countless small details proved that management has little interest in genuine hospitality. Definitely not worth the 5-star label – a classic tourist trap.

Staying at Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella was easily one of the highlights of my summer. The hotel delivers exactly what it promises a refined adults-only experience with a perfect balance of luxury, energy, and peace.
The staff treats you like a VIP from the moment you arrive. Every interaction felt personal, from the concierge to the beach club waiters. The room was spotless with an incredible view of the Mediterranean waking up and stepping onto that balcony every morning was unbeatable.
The beach club and pool area are lively but never out of control. Great music, great cocktails, and a crowd that’s upscale and attractive but chill. It’s the kind of place where you can socialize if you want or simply relax and feel like you’re in your own world.
Breakfast is a full spread — everything fresh, beautifully presented, with both healthy options and indulgent choices. Location wise, it’s perfect. You’re right on the beachfront and just a short walk into Old Town Marbella if you want real Spanish restaurants or a change of vibe.
Overall, Amàre feels like a mix of a boutique hotel and a beach club clean, modern, stylish, and made for adults who enjoy life. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back.
