We stayed at the Almena hotel in marmaris years ago. It was ok & the staff are very helpful but they didnt speak any english. One of the girls working at reception knew a little bit of english. Its a good thing i took a guide book for turkey & managed to learn a few words. Food is good buffet style so you can pick your own food. Plenty of fresh vegetables & fruits for healthy options & lots of different cheese too. We had a top floor room with balcony & the views are awesome. You can walk to the beach which is only a few minutes walk. So after breakfast lunch & dinner you can take a stroll down to the beach. Lots of shops nearby to get gifts & things for personal use. We stayed here 2 weeks & hotel is quite basic but it has a very nice swimming pool too

It was the Almena City we stayed in very clean rooms, breakfast, plenty of choice, plus hot drinks, juice, and water check in and out very smoothly there's a bar adjacent to hotel reasonably priced for food and drinks good location near Blue Port Centre

First of all, when we arrived, the girl at the front desk didn't speak English. She asked about our names and said that she doesn't have our reservation, even though we had reserved and already paid and called twice to check the booking (we did this two weeks earlier, and even when we called to check, there wasn't anyone on the phone who spoke English, so we had to let our Turkish friend talk to them to check out our reservation, and they told us that all is good and it's paid). She kept nodding her head and acted like she couldn't do anything. After pushing, she went to another place to check, then she came and asked for our passports (it seems she checked with someone else). After that, we went to our room. The room was fine, tidy, and small, with a balcony providing a pretty good view of the main street. The air conditioning was working well, and there was hot water in the shower. However, there was so much noise coming either from the street or the room next to us since our room was linked to it by a door, which was really weird; we could hear everything the other room was saying. Our room was on the 4th floor, and we could not reach the Wi-Fi, so we had to use our own network, but the Wi-Fi at the lobby was working pretty well. As for the cleaning part, the rooms were not that clean, the sheets were not renewed all our stay there, and the towels were not changed for the whole time we stayed there. For the pool, it was fine, but the surrounding area is kind of filthy, with dirty sunbeds and trash everywhere that weren't cleaned. Also, for breakfast, it was mediocre, with the same things served each day, and maybe you could face a day when something could be missing + the water from the container is dirty, be careful. Last but not least, the location is the best thing about this hotel; it's close to the beach, food places, mall, grocery stores, and everything. Also, the prices were kind of low compared to other hotels. So if you are a low budget person and find, at the time of reservation, that this is the cheapest hotel, go for it, especially if you need just a place to sleep and plan to have fun all day and night in Marmaris. The hotel's location is perfect for all the activities and experiences you would love to do there.

SCAM! We went to the restaurant on the left side. We want to get an cocktail. Buy 1, get 1 free. With the two of us we get 4 cocktails. Oke, we did not know that but that is how it works thete. At that time the SCAM begins. They did not put alcohol in it. So we send it back. The guy pretented he put alcohol in it with a smile, but it was water. Total SCAM and they likes it. We left without paying.

Even 1 star is too much for this place. From entering in the hotel you can notice that something is wrong there. Everything is dirty, not just a bit but very old tick dirt is everywhere. Floor is black, elevator is never cleaned room is never property washed. The first day the lines wasn't changed and we could aee dirt and hair all over the pillow and linens. Small blue pillow have never been washed. The whole place is gross and the food is most awful. For dinee thwy serve leftovers of rhe salat just add mores spices but it's obviously that the veggies are old as you can see in the photos. They throw you one plate of their choice and if you don't eat it they don't care. Told me to came back tomorrow for something else. This Hotel deserves 0 starts and it's not healthy environment. Staff doesn't speak English and doesn't have any basic know about customer service. The manager said that he is to busy to train them as his wife is pregnant as he said that he can't help them as they are not educated. Those were not excuses for this poor service and they should get their job seriously. People came there for vacation not to be treated like that. One day is this hotel was torture and I don't recommend anybody this experience. Please check the photos of the food and hotel, room...
