Overall, we had a very nice and enjoyable holiday. The hotel is large, well maintained, and very clean. Although the food options are mainly Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine, even though we are quite selective, we had no problems at all there is definitely something for every taste.
The heated pools and the beach area are excellent. January can be quite windy, but the pool heating is so good that you really don’t want to get out of the water.
The staff are very helpful and solution-oriented. In short, I left the hotel very satisfied. It is truly a great value-for-money hotel. I would even like to add that during this vacation I also stayed at a much higher-class hotel in Sharm El Sheikh with a price almost four times higher, but it could not match the satisfaction I had at Pickalbatros.
The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the alcohol. Beer and wine are drinkable, but I definitely do not recommend the other alcoholic (vodka, whisky and rum) drinks. If they improve this, the hotel would truly be a top-level resort.
I would definitely consider coming back again. Highly recommended.

Overall, the stay was good, but there are several points worth mentioning. The rooms are spacious and suitable for families, and the service was generally good. However, booking a sea view room is not really worth it , the sea is far, and you can only see it if you stand up on the balcony.
The buffet restaurant is the best dining option, with fresh food and good variety. Other restaurants were disappointing: the beach club had hygiene issues (birds around the food, oil everywhere), and the à la carte restaurants (Italian and Buddha Bar) were below expectations ! average quality, tough meat, and very basic sushi.
The resort has great sports facilities: paddle and tennis courts are a big plus. However, the tennis court needs maintenance, and the volleyball court is poorly lit at night, making it difficult to play after sunset.
Pools are heated in December, which is perfect for kids. The kids’ club is also a big advantage, open from 10 AM to 5 PM, giving parents some time to relax or explore.
Entertainment overall is limited, and the resort can feel a bit quiet compared to larger resorts with more shows and activities.
Summary:
Good facilities, friendly staff, and a family-friendly setup, but food quality, entertainment, and some maintenance aspects need improvement. Overall, a decent stay with room for enhancement

All the staff at the hotel are excellent. Clean and well kept facilities. Spacious rooms. The food is excellent quality. The heated pools can be warmer.
The negative point is lack of good evening entertainment. Needs better quality varied shows (eg magic show, fire show, snake show, acrobatics etc etc) . All that we saw were poorly attired men and women doing bad dancing on most evenings (including on the 24th dec tent - a big disappointment).
Overall it was a nice stay. Just work on your evening entertainment and it will be perfect.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Laguna Vista. Service is impeccable and extremely professional from all staff members. Mr Nabil looked after us really well and was very accommodating. Made our Wedding Anniversary stay amazing. Food was delicious, plenty of choice and always spaces to sit down.
Room was very clean, bed is comfortable, overall the whole hotel is well looked after, clean and modern. Plenty of activities for the whole family. We will come back again.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the resort was well maintained and clean. The food was tasty and was always refilled on time, so nothing was ever empty. The choice wasn’t limited, but there was little variation.
At the pool, it was noticeable that tipping played an important role. After we did not give a tip immediately to one of the waiters, we were ignored, while people lying right next to us were still being asked for drinks. Sunbeds at the pool officially could not be reserved, but in practice this was possible if you gave money to the lifeguards, who then placed towels for you.
As enthusiastic snorkelers, we were disappointed: there was almost nothing to see, and you had to stay within a small, restricted area. At the aquapark there were no sunbeds available, so if one family member wanted to use the slides, the other had to wait on a chair until they were finished.
Basic politeness was lacking, as very few staff members said good morning, please, or thank you. We have stayed in cheaper hotels where we felt more valued as guest.
