We had a truly wonderful holiday at Roca Nivaria. The hotel itself is stunning, the grounds are immaculate, the pools and views are breathtaking, the food was consistently excellent, and most of the staff provided the kind of warm, attentive service you hope for at a five-star resort.
The only part that didn’t meet that standard was the welcome at check-in. We had arrived excited and ready to start our vacation, but the receptionist (I believe her name was Petra or Petya from Bulgaria) created an unexpectedly awkward moment.
Even though both my fiancé and I speak English and German and I understand some Spanish she directed almost every explanation to him, even when I was the one asking the question.
At one point my fiancé stepped aside to take a phone call, so I asked about the towel cards that she had just handed him. Instead of simply answering, she said, “I’ll explain it to the gentleman once he’s done with his call.” I was standing right there and ready to listen so the remark felt unnecessary.
She also made a personal comment about being Bulgarian when she understood my fiancé is Serbian, which felt out of place at the front desk.
That isn’t the behaviour you expect from a five-star welcome, and it created a rather awkward first impression for both of us.
Thankfully , the rest of the team completely changed the atmosphere. We hardly saw that receptionist again, and throughout the stay we were impressed by the warmth and professionalism of everyone else.
Special thanks to the beautiful Kelly at the reception and Ruyman at the restaurant who helped me organise a surprise party for my fiancé’s birthday .They were all genuinely welcoming and attentive, and helped make our holiday truly relaxing and memorable.
In the end, we left with very positive feelings and would happily return to Roca Nivaria.

We stayed for 8 nights mid July with two children aged 5 and 8, we absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and had beautiful views over the hotels stunning grounds and the sea. Our children loved the kids club and went most days, it's great that you can see their activities on the app so we could choose the times they attended based on activities suited to them. All the entertainment team were great, very friendly and remembered our girls names straight away and were always very energetic. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, food was amazing and a great choice every day. There could be more selection on the children's buffet but that's our only criticism. The restaurant did get busy at times but we always got a table outside in the shade where we could enjoy the beautiful views. A great positive about this hotel is the fact you can always get a sunbed by the pool at any time of day! We found the evening entertainment could be better it was just a lot of singers while we was there. The lift to the beach is convenient, although the beach is small with no sunbeds or shade and is rocky so we didn't spend much time there.

Booked a couple of days before we went for a week all inclusive break. Very helpful pleasant staff on arrival and throughout the stay. Room was spotless with balcony and sun loungers/table+chairs/parasol and a fantastic ocean view (6th floor of 7). Food was excellent - breakfast busy in the 30mins before the kids activities started. Lunch much quieter but decent selection in the buffet. Pool bar does food as well but if all inclusive it's only after 3pm. There were 2 different a la carte restaurants we needed to book for in advance Spanish and Italian menus. They were excellent! (Maitre d' Casanova provided some excellent wine advice!). The evening meal in the buffet was also consistently good.
Good system for pool towels and there were always plenty available (exchange open 10-18) Clear advice about don't be reserving sunbeds was adhered to by almost all guests around the pools. Pool bar opens 1030 and the beer/cocktails were good! Hayley in particular was super-helpful! The main pool is saltwater and a fair bit warmer than the lower pool which is freshwater. View from main pool out over the ocean is stunning! There is a separate kids activity area/pool and tennis courts.
There was varied evening live entertainment daily. There is card controlled access to a small rocky beach/cove directly from the hotel but didn't try the water. There is a new shopping centre about 20 mins walk and smaller tourist shops/hiperdino supermarket 2 mins walk from hotel entrance.
On arrival we were given a complimentary pass for a spa circuit (jet pools, showers, jacuzzi, plunge pool, tepidarium, sauna and flotarium)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - a well appointed, well run hotel which allowed a very relaxing week's stay. We will go back!

Exceptional service from the moment we arrived. We got a free upgrade to the superior suite on the ground floor and we were very grateful! Our two young daughters loved the kids club and the kids pool area.
Food is delicious and fresh and you’ll find something for everyone’s tastes.
Evening entertainment was great and relaxing.
Will come again!

We stayed 16 night at the hotel, as a family of 4 with two boys aged 4 and 7. We had a great time at the hotel. We stayed in a superior suite, which had more than enough space. Sadly not two bedrooms, which would have been perfect, as that allows the kids to sleep in a separate room, rather than in the living room. But that is nitpicking.
The staff were extremely friendly, and very helpful. That is really a bonus when staying in the hotel.
I definitely advise the hotel to put a few plates and some cutlery in the room, as it is definitely big enough and allows for families to grab some fruits and vegetables from the nearby store. Especially as we aren’t the all-in-inclusive type fans and our kids enjoy fruits and vegetables a lot… to be honest though, we didn’t ask at the reception, so perhaps it is possible.
Bottom-line, I can really advise this hotel for families. Everyone will have a great time. If you are looking for a romantic, couple get-away, I would consider other options.
