Just back from a week's stay. Very relaxing and peaceful, as the hotel seems to attract an older clientele. Two heated pools, and a rooftop heated pool and jacuzzi which have beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. I loved that we got two pool towels each - one for the sunbed and one to dry yourself. There was an excellent choice at the breakfast buffet of both hot and cold food. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, so can't comment on that. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the housekeeping staff. The hotel is located a short walk from the beach, though it's down a steep hill which could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems.

Although not our first visit to Tenerife it was our first stay in Costa Adeje. My wife and I have only returned after spending christmas week at this absolutely beautiful hotel. It really should be 5 star in our opinion.
Where can I start on just how good it was...
Certainly a big positive for the hotel was its size, not to big. As many folk have said the age of people staying certainly was older and that was lovely. It was quieter because of this and being adult only it was indeed very relaxing. As many have also said the pools, rooms etc all where immaculately clean and the staff were simply amazing, certainly 5 star not 4. My wife commented on the sunbeds being the most comfortable she had ever experienced.
Due to not being too large, staff soon started to recognise those staying and it became very evident that nothing was to much bother. If anyone staying had any struggles with getting food etc then the staff would simply go and get it for them. I appreciate this would not be the norm but the point that staff cared enough is simply outstanding, certainly above and beyond.
There was entertainment for anyone wanting to sit in off an evening and this included xmas day when there was even music at breakfast.
Our only regret on our stay was not having the xmas buffet......we spoke to many folk who went and they said it was simply amazing. Breakfast buffet had all your needs and food from the outside bar was lovely and not overpriced.
It was only a short walk, downhill to the promenade, supermarket and many restaurants. You could walk the whole way to Playa Las Americas but options like taxis, mobility scooters are readily available for those who require them.
Although part of the Adrian group of hotels I can only suggest if you are considering a hotel in Costa Adeje do not hesitate in booking the Colon Guanahani either directly or with one of the airline companies that use it within their package deals.
If your alone, a couple or indeed have reduced mobility you will have a lovely holiday. The staff will absolutely look after you. You will not need to leave the hotel if you dont want to.
Ultimately customer service makes any stay and we wish we could give them 10 stars. That applies to all the staff we incountered including room service, kitchen staff, bar staff etc. It is this that has made it one our best stays ever.

Fabulous hotel. Positioned on the cusp of where the high-end, plush side of town meets the touristy promenade - although you'd never guess it as the hotel is a slice of peace and tranquility. Comfortable room with privacy on each balcony/terrace. Staff superb and very kind - and some a little humourous and cheeky to make you smile! Two heated pools, rooftop infinity pool and jacuzzi, and ample deck chair locations. Views from the rooftop with sea one side and mountains the other is stunning. Evening music alongside dinner was beautiful - pianist, sax, violinist, singer. Never loud, always in keeping with the relaxed mood. The highlight was buffet breakfast and dinner. As vegetarians, there was ample excellent buffet choices plus an option to request a vegetarian/vegan main the day prior, although we never found this necessary as the buffet was so good and different every night. Bravo to the chefs for being so inclusive for veggies. Only suggestion for the hotel is the food labelling - whilst there were clear symbols for allergies and vegans, there wasn't a symbol for vegetarian, and sometimes the labelling positions were in the wrong places. Unfortunately twice we tucked into salads to find small pieces of meat or fish. Hopefully a simple fix!

Great hotel, was mainly retired people but that was a bonus as quite. Heated pools, breakfast option great but could have a few more options but to be honest there was alot of choice still, hot and cold. Ate out for tea so cannot comment on evening meals at hotel but seemed to be plenty eating there so must have been ok. Tonnes of options outside the hotel and all within walking distance, hotel is well positioned for food, mini markets, beach. Only complaint would be sunbeds, ok some days but if hotel gets full capacity the beds in the sun became sparce by 9:00-9:30 and your not supposed to reserve but you have no choice or get up earlier on your holidays which contradicts a holiday for me :)

We stayed for our honeymoon for two weeks - excellent food, excellent evening entertainment, great pools, phenomenal and friendly staff, great place for people looking for a calm and relaxing stay. The chef made a special vegan main for me every day off-menu, each dish was phenomenal and the catering was brilliant.
Only ‘cons’; gym is a bit small and outdated, small weights and no air con, jacuzzi did not appear to be clean with some soil at the bottom (but it is outdoors), and my husband said that the meat he ate was often quite dry/tough.
Overall we loved our stay in Tenerife and the hotel :)
