We spent one week at Occidental Jandía Mar on an all-inclusive basis, and overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
The food selection was varied every day, with plenty of options to choose from, so it was easy to find something different at each meal. The all-inclusive package was absolutely worth it and made the holiday very comfortable and stress-free.
The staff were extremely friendly, kind, and always helpful. From the restaurant team to reception and housekeeping, everyone contributed to a welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel was clean throughout, including the rooms and common areas, which we really appreciated.
Although the hotel is not located directly on the beachfront, the ocean-view rooms offer a truly stunning panoramic view. Waking up to that Atlantic scenery every morning was one of the highlights of our stay.
In terms of value for money, this hotel is absolutely worth it. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the Jandía area.

Built into Fueventura's steep volcanic rockface near Morro Jable is a very reasonable Seaside Resort Hotel part of the Barcelo Group. It's large and the path to the Beach and Promenade is really steep and not necessarily wheelchair friendly. There's a twice daily return bus to the Beach and Promenade which had restaurants shops and services as hairdressers. You can request a taxi from reception. Cost to the town was 8 Euros in February 2026
The hotel has a number of pools which are family friendly. There are daily activities managed by multi lingual hosts. Depending on how much you have paid to stay means you get access to different restaurants. The main restaurant was a dissapointment and the food occasionally brilliant and more often adequate. There is also a small restaurant catering for pool users from 10.00am.
The rooms where clean and well maintained. Lots of Room for clothing and holidays stuff. Make be sure you bring adaptors for your devices. The free WiFi was excellent. Staff pleasant and efficient. The weather in mid January was great

The hotel is worn by the passage of time, but it's clear it's undergoing ongoing renovations. The hotel is affordable. I rate the price/quality ratio very good. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff is helpful. The good and varied food deserves praise, which, in my opinion, is better than in much more expensive hotels on the island. The drinks at the bar are solid. I recommend purchasing the Gold package, which gives you access to a private restaurant every day, ala carte. However, you have to sign up for it. There's also a separate area in the restaurant, access to high-end alcoholic beverages, and generally better service. Entertainment for both children and adults is a plus. This year, there was sometimes no hot water in some rooms. The water in the heated pool wasn't very warm. However, this winter, at the turn of January and February, it was exceptionally cold—18 degrees Celsius at night and 20/23 degrees Celsius during the day. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5, but for the low price, the food and entertainment are a 4/4.3.

Our family of 7 (5 adults, a teen, and a toddler) recently returned from a wonderful 8-night stay at Jandia Mar. Despite the January dates, the weather was beautiful—hitting highs of 23°C (feeling like 26°C)—which was perfect for sunbathing and swimming in both the pool and the ocean.
The Room & Amenities:
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a TV and mini-fridge. The bathrooms were also impressively large. While the "Ultra Inclusive" upgrade was offered at €19 per person/night, we found the standard inclusive package sufficient for our needs.
Activities & Facilities:
Food: Great variety with plenty of options for different dietary requirements.
Entertainment: Engaging activities for all ages throughout the day and evening. The teen game room (arcade) stays open until 11 PM.
Convenience: On-site shops, a kids' club (ages 4+), and several bars.
Note: Pool towels require a €20 deposit (cash or card), and there is a €2 fee per towel change.
Area for Improvement:
The only downside was the service. We found the staff to be less friendly and helpful than we’ve experienced at other resorts, which was a bit disappointing.
Verdict: Overall, we highly recommend this hotel, especially for families!
