The swim up room was fantastic. Whilst it has been renovated the attention to detail isn't quite there and the previous aged decor comes through in places.
The welcoming touch of a bottle of wine and a thank you card was nice.
The privacy of the swim up room was great but like many resorts the pool was not heated which would have made the experience much better.
The food was good, with themed nights but regular dishes available for those picky eaters. Generally speaking it was exactly what you would expect from an all inclusive resort and nothing more.
The regenerate restaurant was closed during our stay so we can not comment on this.
The entertainer throughout the day was great, fun and energetic but didn't push people like some entertainers would.
The evening entertainment was poor unless it was run by the in house entertainer but the live acts were not in line with the general keeping of the hotels expectations.
The beech was walkable distance, there was plenty of shops near by within walking distance.
Would we stay here again? Yes we would, but another hotel with similar offerings would sway us if the price was cheaper.

The hotel was near to the beach and shops. Free parking directly by the hotel or next to it on the street. The reception staff was helpful and kind. In the restaurant Ibrahim and Mohammad were always smiling and did a great job compared to the others. If you have a room on the higher floors you have a nice view of the ocean.
First of all the rooms are poorly renovated. I requested a double bed and got 2 single beds pushed together on wheels, which moved as soon you touched them. But okay. If you buy yourself extra water they won't fill up the water bottles in the room, sometimes you get coffee and sometimes you don't. The bathroom products are really bad and cheap, shower gel and shampoo in one. Luckily I brought both. Opening the balcony door is a real challenge. Maybe the next one to change out. The other parts of the hotel are maybe renovated but the pool areas are definitely not. The hotel front is a big glass wall, would be nice if it would be clean and would be also nice to go in on the front door, if it would work. The elevator is old and dirty, don't use it if you can. Breakfast was okay, you have a big enough selection, but could be better. The salad and the vegetables are from the last night and almost gone bad, it takes your appetite away. The snack "bar" on the afternoon is really sad and everyday the same food. It's open until 6.30 pm but you are not welcome after 6 pm. Dinner is just about eatable. If you go to dinner around 7pm it looks okay but if you dare to got after 8pm you will be greatly disappointed. They don't clean or fill up the buffet much. The tables are not set or even clean. The staff doesn't care. There is no cutlery on the buffet and I had to get it myself several times. Be careful about the plates, you will find several dirty ones between the "clean" ones. The hot dishes are presented in some pan with lid, ridiculous.
Furthermore I was asked if I wanted to use the safe in room and got a tiny key to turn it on, it didn't work. You also have to pay 20€ deposit for the ironing board and the iron, plus 1€ per day. I didn't get a receipt of my deposit or payment. I can understand somehow the deposit but that I had to pay for it in a 4* hotel and had to wait for it over an 1 hour. Maybe it was a 4* hotel in the 90’s but not anymore.
I hope our feedback helps the hotel to improve their service.

Nice place, the hotel is really clean and pretty. I think the food is perfect, varied and tasty! I don't understant comments about monotony, what else do you expect? There is everything you want - local and traditional food, meats, fishes and veggie options. You can go everywhere by foot. Sometimes you can see that it was renovated quickly, but this is a small minus. Very nice service!

I've just returned from a week's holiday at Golden Beach 7-14 March and really enjoyed my stay. I wanted some winter sun and just to take it easy for a week so all inclusive adult only at Golden Beach was perfect for me. I had a double standard room with seaview and balcony overlooking the pool and it was a good size and very comfortable with a very adequate bathroom which had a good shower. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard.
There were plenty of loungers around the pool and always space , the pool was a good size and clean and heated enough. The pool bar was well stocked and it was a nice touch when they came round with trays of cocktails for us. The restaurant was a good size including outside dining and there was an excellent choice of food to choose from for breakfast , lunch and dinner all buffet style.
All the staff were friendly and courteous and the hotel was very clean , quite a lot of steps to negotiate in and around the hotel but there were also ramps and a lift so those less mobile were adequately catered for. The beach was wide and sandy and about a 10 minute walk , the return being up a fairly steep hill providing a thirst and appetite on return to the hotel !
There was nightly entertainment which seemed to be enjoyed by everybody and there were regular pool aquarobics organised which were enthusiastically supported and very well adminstered by the Dutch lady who got guests involved.

What’s Not To Like!!
We don’t normally go for package holidays, let alone all inclusive. But after what seemed like far too long a winter, we decided to book an all inclusive to the Labranda Golden Beach Resort in Costa Calma with Jet 2.
So here’s my view on our stay.
All the staff were spot on and very helpful, especially the reception staff who stepped up to the mark and went the extra mile/kilometre when I needed urgent medical attention for an infection I’d picked up on my journey from the UK. The restaurant staff from the chefs to the table clearers were great, 100% on the ball always. And the housekeeping staff too were amazing.
The food was great, and varied as much as anyone could ask for from an all-inclusive buffet set up, yeah it sometimes might have appeared repetitive, but if you looked there was always something different to tempt the tastebuds. If you like seafood you won’t be disappointed, but there was still plenty on offer for non-fish lovers.
The pool snack bar and bar were great too, ideal if you felt you needed a top up at other than mealtimes.
Our room was very nice, clean, and kept clean by housekeeping, well located on the ground floor allowing us to walk straight out to the pool area. The only thing amiss was a mirror in the bedroom area, rather than just in the bathroom.
The indoor bar was good too, a great range of drinks and cocktails served up by a friendly barman/mixologist, he certainly earns his money during the busy time manning the bar on his own.
All in all, would we come back here, yes, we’ll be back.
Many thank again to Dagmar and all her team, I wish I’d got to know the other staff names. I’ll get them on our return.
