This was our first time staying at this resort and to say we are blown away wouldn’t be the half of it. Everything was perfect! The staff is very accommodating, and welcoming. It’s hard to name each and every one, but there was one that stood out to me and my husband. Javier was incredible! He is someone that clearly enjoys his job and it shows each and every day. He ALWAYS has a smile and cheerful to everyone he comes in contact with. His service was perfect, but his personality is what made the difference. He was focused on not only service but making us feel at home and simply happy to have him around.

We really enjoyed our week at the resort. The app was very useful and we liked being able to keep track of what was going on and restaurants open for the day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would like to call out 2 special employees to be thanked - first is Eleutario on the landscaping crew. He was what tipped the scale into 5 star rating. He was so nice and grateful. Also like to call out Edgar from the Mexican restaurant- he was very attentive and such a great work ethic. It was a large resort but the layout made it so it was quick to get around.

Overall, it was a great trip, but there are some things that Excellence can do to better improve the quality.
Staff is so nice and attentive.
I went to take an art class, making hats, and they didn’t have room for one more. They should have just added one more hat. To me, going on a first class trip, is “ never to be told no”.
Another instance was dinner at The Grill was an hour wait and all the other restaurants were empty. Perhaps expanding
The Grills space would be a good idea since it’s so popular. Again, I was told no. During the day my husband had to change his shirt because the buffet lunch spot required sleeves. But we’re at the pool all day…..I think that was silly.
Lastly, with all the space they have, they should have a spa to go with their excellent fitness center. A place with steam and sauna and relaxation. They have a spa there that they outsource and is not for guests to use without doing a service.
I won’t go back….I prefer a classier place. Being part of the excellence club did not help with getting into Spice or The Grill or even early check in. And the lines were shorter at the regular front desk.

This is our second trip to Excellence Riviera Cancun and it has exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Excellence Club rooftop terrace ocean view room. The food, even the room service food, has been fantastic. All of the staff greet us with a smile and a warm welcome. Anabele and Alba at the excellence pool are friendly and fantastic and provide exceptional service. Angelo from the entertainment team hosted pool blackjack and was absolutely hysterical. Even though the seaweed is very heavily hitting the beach, we see the staff working tirelessly to keep it manicured and looking pristine. Their attention to detail makes all the difference and any time we have requested anything it has been delivered in a timely manner. We will definitely be making more trips here!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had such a good time. The rooms were always clean and stocked and the workers were so incredibly nice. It was a perfect time to relax and worry about nothing. The restaurants were amazing and it was fun to try each of them out. Hector was our waiter for our honeymoon dinner and made sure it was perfect for us. Such a nice man! There was not one night where we didn’t feel special. I definitely recommend to a friend!
