This was our first time to Mexico and our first time at an Excellence resort. We picked this resort for our honeymoon after reading many different reviews of all of the resorts in Mexico. I cannot say enough good things about this resort and about the staff. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and pristine and the atmosphere is fantastic. There is never a shortage of fun activities and ways to spend your days whether you are a beach or pool person. We had an Excellence Club level room which was amazing with the roof top terrace plunge pool. Sully the Excellence Club beach concierge is so wonderful and we loved seeing her smiling face everyday that we were on the beach. She is simply the best and makes sure you are well taken care of. The restaurants and food are all fabulous. The Lobster House for breakfast was our favourite; the staff are very kind and attentive. The Mexican fiesta at the plaza was such a unique experience with amazing food and entertainment. You can tell that the staff love working here as they put so much effort into everything that they do. We will absolutely be back again to spend another week in paradise !

The best service I have received anywhere. Rooms are great, drinks are very good, food is excellent, but above all, the staff is overwhelmingly incredible. Benjamin at The Lobster House is one of the most helpful and kind waiters, learning our names and our favorite dishes on our first day. Rosa grills some of the best flank steak I’ve ever had! Come to the Excellence and be surprised that an all inclusive is more than just good drinks on the beach, it’s a whole experience, from top to bottom.

Amazing experience! We had a fun girls trip, and the staff at Excellence went above and beyond! From Tennis lessons with Alphonso who taught us tons and made us laugh. To dinner on the beach with Jose, who made us feel special and lit up the night with his smile. Victor and Gustavo by the pool provided top notch service! Rooms were clean and mini bar was always well stocked. We had a time of being spoiled and treated like princesses!

I’ve been coming to Excellence Playa Mujeres for a few years and have always been blown away with how pleasant their staff members are. One person in particular really stood out for me this time and that’s Sully from the Excellence Club beach service (palapas/beach chairs). She is AMAZING and very personable. She takes great care of her guests and goes above and beyond! It’s because of people like her at Excellence why I return each year. Thank you Sully! I hope to see you next year! Our second time back and we love it still! The property is well maintained, beautiful grounds and kept clean at all times. The staff is friendly and kind.
The rooms are spacious and have good views. Service is top notch from the moment you enter the hotel.
Special shout out to the beach staff who are there to help with anything you might need.
